APPENDIX BIOS If the only requirement is the OS needs to display the message that you can turn off the computer safely, BIOS setup doesn’t need to be changed. However, if you need more protections, please follow the below setups: 1. CPU over temperature warning
a. Please use jumper to short CN22 on SBC. (Refer to figure 1 below.) b. Set PC Health Status/CPU Warning Temperature to 60℃ (suggested).
Note: CPU will send out an alarm when the CPU temperature reaches the setting
3. Decrease the CPU frequency when CPU is over temperature This function can decrease CPU frequency when CPU reaches 70℃. The decrease ratio is from 12.5% to 87.5%, default setting is 50% (suggested).

4. System will auto-reboot when power on after power fail System will auto-reboot when power on after power fail if you enable this function in BIOS. (Figure 6)
ADDITIONAL NOTICE Since Clear CMOS is an electrical signal (Hardware), not related to BIOS, and OS has been installed, changing the ACPI Function in BIOS won’t affect the OS shutdown message. (System will still show the message that the system can be turned off safely.)
