A great man is one sentence. Abraham Lincoln’s sentence was: ‘He preserved the union and freed the slaves.’ Franklin Roosevelt’s was: ‘He lifted us out of a great depression and helped us win a world war.”

Personal brand positioning statement (*): what it is and is not
• Your personal brand statement is not your job title!• It's also not your personal mission statement,
career objectives or life purpose • It’s how you make a difference• It’s the essence of who you are, distilled to just a
few words.
(*) It may be different for different audiences but all statements are consistent
Personal brand positioning statement: how to write it
• Short enough to fit on one line on your business card/ punchy
• Engaging• Memorable• Solution oriented.
How you will use your brand positioning statement
• Your brand positioning statement is your
• compass: it helps you keep your direction:
• everthing you do/say/write should be
• consistent with your brand…in fact, it
• should reinforce your brand.
