Dart Charge

The A282 Dartford Crossing links the M25 motorway between Dartford in Kent and Thurrock in Essex. It crosses the River Thames east of London.

Charges apply for crossings made between 6am and 10pm. It is free to use the Crossing between 10pm and 6am.

Dart Charge is paid in advance or by midnight the day after crossing. If you fail to pay you will receive a Penalty Charge Notice.

Paying Dart Charge is easy. You can pay:

• or in advance by post.*

You can set up a pre-pay account and save up to a third on every crossing.

Or our pay as you go service allows you to register your vehicle and payment details so you can automatically pay Dart Charge each time you use the Crossing.
