How To Groom Your Dog
You should begin by bathing your dog, making sure to reach all areas of its body.
Bathing
Drying your dog is an important step that is often skipped.
Drying
Brushing your dogs hair is important so it does not become tangled or matted.
Hair and Teeth Brushing
Teeth brushing is also very important so teeth do not become plaque incrusted and begin to rot.
Trimming between the toes is important because if matting occurs in this region it can cause the pads of the feet to become infected.
Trimming
Feathering is found on most long-haired breeds. Keeping these areas trimmed is important because it becomes matted very easily.
Feathering
Keeping nails at the proper length helps maintain healthy pads and feet. Nail trimming should occur about once a month.
Nail Trimming
Your dogs ears are a very sensitive part of their body and it is important to keep them clean. You can do this by applying rubbing alcohol to a cotton ball and lightly rubbing it inside their ear.
Ear Cleaning
By following these simple steps you should be able to maintain a proper grooming routine
for your dog.
Regular grooming is important for your dog to make sure their hair does not mat and cause
infection and difficulty in cooling.
