Procedure

Buy a muffler tip that has a connector of similar diameter as that of the factory muffler tail pipe. A muffler tip with a greater diameter projects a louder sound. Mount the muffler tip on top of the built-in muffler’s tailpipe. Use a screwdriver to screw in the muffler tip. At the base of your muffler, drill holes of 0.5’’, about 10 of them. The holes will boost the sound of the muffler

2. Replacement method

Basically, the easiest way of boosting the sound of your truck is by removing the performance exhaust muffler despite this being illegal in most states. The muffler can be replaced by three types of exhausts.

Single-side exhausts

They are a bit bigger than the original exhaust parts and the sound increment is minimal. They are ideal for places that restrict excess car hooting.

Double-side exhausts

These replacement exhausts boost the truck’s sound drastically. They surround the rear wheels of a truck and are common In traditional truck designs. Their functioning is similar to that of single-sided models although they are mounted below the back bumper.

After-market exhausts

To boost the volume to the highest levels, after-market exhausts combined with noise-boosting mufflers are the best but they are quite pricey. This upgrade generates in-depth ad rich volumes.
