Continue heading southwest on 280 until you come to 1361 (Old 280) near the bottom of the hill you’ll be descending (don’t take 1361 at the top of the hill). Turn right off of 280 onto 1361 and then, almost immediately bear left onto Turkey Creek Road. Drive about 300 meters ‘til you come to a right turn into Mine Mountain Estates. Turn right at this point and then continue straight (don’t take the next right into Mine Mountain estates). Very soon the paved road turns to hard-packed gravel, and you continue for about 2.5 miles on this road.

It’s a very twisty, winding road, but it’ll stay two lane all the way to the point where you’re going to turn off (which is about a 1/4 mile after you pass a couple of houses, one on the left and one on the right).

Look for sign“Laurel Hideaway”

Look for signIvy Lane

You’ll start climbing up a hill, down-hill slope on your left. Watch for a street sign that says “Ivy Lane”; it’s located just past a fork in the road. You’re to take the left-hand fork, a one lane, gravel road (the two lane, packed gravel road continues up the hill to your right). Continue on this one-lane road, bearing right where you see a sign marking someone else’s driveway. You’ll soon drive past a meadow to your right (with a trailor-like house at the top). Avoid the driveway up to that house and take the narrow gravel road the continues straight. At this point signs point you to Laurel Hideaway.
