You will need:

• A good, confident Leader • A good fast Drummer that knows the beats

well.• Samoan Traditional clothes for doing a Sasa

(if you have them)• Lot’s of people (although any number is

fine)

• Actions – mainly clapping

Commands

• Nofo Lalo [sit down]• Sauni [Get Ready]• Patia [clap]• Tulolo Nofo [is to put your head down when

the leader says Tulolo and to put your head back up when your leader says Nofo]

• Milimili [Rub your hands together]• Totofa [is when you clap your hands three

times and then you clap your hands three times again but you make your hands as a C Shape then clap your hands once]

Things to remember:• To have a big smile on your face, and look

happy.• Keep in time with the beat.• Remember the actions well.• Listen to the Leader when he/she is saying

any of the commands.• Have a good time.

A good Sasa leader:• Is confident and loud.• Know the actions off by heart.• Good Dancing, Samoan actions.

Good Sasa group members:

• Ones that know how to do the actions well.

• Again remember to have big smiles on your face and look happy.

• Be as energetic as your leader.
