STEP-WISE INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1: Login to JOAPS
Enter your enrollment ID
Enter your JOAPS password
Enter the Arithmetic result
<Submit> once the details are entered
STEP 2: Once logged in,you can see the results. If qualified, you can start applying for admission.
Start filling the admission form by
clicking <Admission Form Filling>
Registration number(s) of the qualified Paper(s)
STEP 3:You are requested to verify (and change if needed) the personal details.
You can change address, nationality, category, PwD status. Accordingly, you may have to upload
documents to support (a) Nationality (if General category), (b) Valid certificate(s) for OBC(NCL), SC, ST &
PwD
List of Nationality Certificates: Birth Certificate OR First page of the passport OR Voter ID OR School
Transfer Certificate (TC) showing nationality OR Nationality certificate issued by authorized government
agency
List of some general documents that areNOTconsidered for Nationality proof: Aadhar Card, Ration Card,
Driving License, Mark sheets, College ID, Train Season Tickets, PAN card
Note:1. No need to upload the Nationality certificate for
OBC(NCL), SC and ST candidates.
2. If you change the category, ensure that the mark
scored in the qualified paper satisfies the cut-off
criterion.
STEP 4:Upload relevant document(s)
If General, Upload Nationality Certificate (Maximum size 1 MB)
(If not possible, you can submit the certificate to the admitting institute, if offered
admission)
For OBC (NCL) ,SC, ST Candidates upload a Category Certificate [Maximum size (1MB)]
For PwD, upload PwD certificate (Maximum size 1 MB)
(All documents must be in PDF format)
View and verify successfully uploaded the certificates.
Fill 12th Standard details & upload the mark sheet (in PDF)
STEP 6: Enter the qualifying degree details. Click <Add Records> to add Year-wise or Semester-wise mark
sheets in PDF format. The documents must clearly show the CGPA or Marks to enable Admitting
Institutes to verify whether you satisfy ER and MEQ.
Enter your Year, Semester, Title of the paper, Marks/Grade obtained,
and Maximum Marks/Grade for the paper.
Then click on <Add> button.
Click <Add Records> to fill up the Academic Details.
Step 7:When uploading mark sheets, merge the marks sheet of both semesters in an year and upload as
a single PDF file.
Upload your First year Degree certificate;
You can also merge more than one page
documents by using the link given here.
View and verify successfully uploaded the certificates.
Then click <Next> button.
STEP 8: Select the Institute and the corresponding Programme to create the choices
You can also re-order the preferences/ choices.
You can view the Opening and Closing Ranks for the programmes during last year admission (JAM 2015)
by using the link provided.
Candidates are requested to Select Paper, Select the Select Program. Then click the
<Add Preference> Button.
NOTE:Depending on the paper you have qualified, the choices would appear. If you
have qualifed in two papers, the choices available to both the papers (exclusive to
each paper & common to both papers) appear. Please choose the choices carefully.
STEP 9: Adding your preferences/ choices
You can add as many numbers of preferences as applicable
according to the qualifying paper
Then click the <Next>
button.
NOTE: Allowing you to enter your preference for the programme does not automatically
entitle you to get admission to the progaramme. You must satisfy ER and MEQ of the
Admitting Institutes, if offered a seat.
STEP 10: This is form for accepting the Declaration form.
NOTE: Once you save the preferences and proceed for payment, you will
not be allowed to change any of the data entered. If you wish to modify
the details, please use <Previous> and change. If you wish to proceed
further, accept the declaration and <Submit and Proceed for Payment>.
Payment: Rs. 600/- per application - Payment is by ONLINE. E-CHALLAN
payment is NOT possible. Additional charges depending on the mode of
payment may apply. No need to send soft/ hard copy of the payment
receipt or details.
STEP 11: You can view the admission Details by clicking view Admission Form.
You can view your admission form by
clicking <View Admission Form> button
(OR)
To pay payment click <Make Payment>
button.
Save a soft copy of the application form for
your future use and reference.
STEP 12: You can view the Admission Form.

STEP 13: Proceeding for payment.
For all the candidates, the Application fee is Rs. 600.
STEP 14: Pay the Application Amount by Bill Desk.
Choose the mode of payment.
Note: Depending on the mode of
payment, additional charges apply.
