Total past-year FY18 CT funding: $2,679,650

29 grantees: 11 large requests - $1,600,000 (from $100,000 to $150,000) 11 medium requests - $816,000 (from $70,000 to $75,000) 7 small requests - $263,650 (from $25,000 to $40,000)

ELIGIBILITY AND CRITERIA FOR FUNDING: A cultural nonprofit 501(c)(3) exempt corporation registered and in good

standing with the State of Florida, IRS, and current with open grants Completed one year or more of providing cultural programming in Orange

County that attracts tourists Produce in Orange County the arts event for which you are applying that is

accessible and promoted to the general public, and event occurs during Jan. 1-Dec. 31, 2019

Market to potential visitors beyond the “local” four-county area of Orange, Osceola, Lake and Seminole counties or 50-mile radius

Show community support in donations SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS PROJECT, that matches the request ($1 to each $1 requested)

Have a portrait on the Central Florida Foundation Nonprofit Search website, bearing the “Reviewed” stamp by the application deadline

Attend workshop (first-timers) & complete application by deadline

NEW! One deadline for portrait content submission to Central Florida Foundation Nonprofit Search – June 15, 2018, 5pm

NEW! Eligibility now requires that proposed arts activities are not a supplementary event at a non-arts conference, meeting, etc.

NEW! Grantees receiving both Cultural Tourism and Blockbuster funds will track grants and report separately. Neither grant can be used as a match for the other.

Change – Financial statements and marketing plans will be reviewed by field experts

Change – During Review Panel meeting, applicant responses will be limited to one minute unless further clarification is asked for

NEW! If actual attendance for prior, CT-funded activity fell short of projection to have lowered score, that attendance must be used for next application

Change – A written request must be submitted before making any significant changes in a project’s budget, event dates, or top artistic or management leadership

Change – Current lobbying restrictions will continue until Board of County Commissioners’ vote

Thurs., Sept. 20, 2018 Board of County Commissioners meeting (final approval) – Tues., Oct 16, 2018 Contracts issued with payment request/reports – Oct 18-31, 2018 Project period – November 1, 2018 to February 28, 2020 (16 months) Event cannot begin before Jan. 1, 2019 and must complete by Dec. 31, 2019 First payment (50%) available – Dec. 2018/Jan. 2019

PAYMENT REQUIREMENTS: Pay Request for each disbursement Change Request Form for event dates, scope, budget, and top artistic or

management leadership changes from proposed project (prior to pay report) Payment 1, 50% of award: (Dec 2018/Jan 2019 timing)

Due 45 days after BCC approval/contract issued (unless late start date) Submit project updates, at least 50% of match confirm & insurance

Payment 2, 40% of award: Due 3 weeks before event starts or halfway through longer project

(duration of 2 months or longer) Submit interim report, at least 100% of match confirm, updates/status

report, budget, expenditures Payment 3, 10% of award: (Reimbursement; occurs after event) Due 45 days after close of event and last day of project period; Submit final
