2. This menu is whereyou click to : Add music/soundeffects Pictures Titles 3. To add music or sound effects click on thebutton with the music note This screen will appear. Click on where youd like to get your sound from: iMovie Sound Effects iLife Sound Effects GarageBand Or iTunes 4. Sound EffectsWhen you select yoursound effect source, thefiles in that choice willappear here.To hear the soundeffect, click on one of thefiles. And click the play button. 5. Sound EffectsTo add a soundeffect, you click on thefile and drag it up to theportion of your projectwhere you want thesound effect to go. 6. Sound EffectsYou know your soundeffect was successfullyadded when you see thisgreen box under theselected still in yourproject. 7. Sound EffectsTo edit you soundeffect, click on thisbutton 8. Sound EffectsClick on ClipAdjustmentsto adjust the time lengthof your sound effect. 9. Click on the button with a camera on it to add a phototo your screencast.Your pictures mustbe in iPhoto inorder to to be ableto add a picture toyour screen cast. 10. You can add slides from a PowerPoint intoyour iMovie.When you save your PPT, click Save asPictures.Your slides will be saved to a file folder.Drag that file folder into iPhoto and you willbe able to add those slides into your screencast. 11. PicturesTo add yourpicture, click on itand drag it into thepart of your projectwhere you wantthe photo to be inyour screencast. 12. iMovie defaults to the Ken Burns effectwhen you add a picture into iMovie. TheKen Burns effect is when the picture zoomsin.iMovie allows to fit the picture to the screenor crop the picture. 13. Steps to take to adjust a picture 1. Click on the picture in your project2. Click on the Crop button (it is located inthe middle of the iMovie screen) 14. Then this screen will appear in the upper right hand corner of the iMovie screen Click on Fit for the picture to be stable on the still.Click on Crop to cropyour picture. Whenyou click crop thesegreen bars willappear, crop yourpicture by draggingthe green lines to thepart of the pictureyou want to show onyour still.Remember to click Done when you arefinished adjusting your picture. 15. Click on this button to add a Title to yourscreencast. All of the different titles you can choose from will appear. To see how the Title will move, move your mouse over the Title and it will show how the title will appear in your screencast. 16. There are two ways to add Titles to yourscreen cast: The Title can be its own still The Titles can be inserted to a still 17. TitleTo add a Title to yourscreencast click on thetitle and drag it into topart of your projectwhere you want theTitle. 18. TitleTo add a Title as its own still, drag the Titlebetween stills, when a vertical green barappears, drop the title into the project.To add the Title into a movie still, drag it to thestill you want it to go and drop it into the still. 19. Title: Adding it as its own still After you drop the Title into your project, this screen will appear. This is your choices of background. Select the one you prefer. 20. After you choose your background, this screen will appear inthe upper right hand corner of you iMovie screen.Click on Show Fonts to change thesize, color and type of font. 21. This screen will appear2. Select colorof font3. Select1. Select the sizestyle offont4. ClickDone tosave yourchanges. 22. Your changes will show up in the upper right had screen.1. Type your title here2. Click Done tofinish editing yourtitle.To see how your title will lookclick this button to play the still. 23. To add a title into a stillTo add a title to yourscreencast click on thetitle and drag it into topart of your projectwhere you want thetitle. Click on the blue rectangle to type your Title. 24. Click on the Voiceover button 25. To change themicrophone clickon the doublearrows. 26. This message will appear in the upper right hand screen.Follow these directions and where you want thevoiceover to begin 27. When you click on the project (where youwant the voiceover to begin) the still havea yellow frame around it. Click on the spacebar when you are readyto record. You will hear a series of beeps that will letyou know when to start speaking. When you are finished speaking, click thespacebar to stop recording. 28. This purple rectangle will appear to show you where your voiceover is.If you need to rerecord your voiceover, be sure to click on the purple rectangleuntil you see a yellow frame and click on the delete button on your spacebar. 29. Next you have to turn down the original audio. Click on thestill with the voiceover, the frame buttons will appear. 30. This drop screen will appear. Click onAudio Adjustments. 31. 1 .Slide on the Volumebar until the sound isturned all the waydown.2. Click on Done Your Voiceover is finished. 32. View the next slide presentation to learnhow to finalize (save) your project and shareit to YouTube.
