How To Add Extended Time to an Exam or Quiz on Canvas
Once you have created your Quiz or Exam on Canvas. On the right hand side of the screen click on Moderate This Quiz
Next: Search for the students that you need to add extended time for. (1.5 or 2.0, etc.)
Next click on the Pencil on the right side of the screen to add the extended time.
If the class has 60 minutes to take the exam then the extended time will be as follows:
1.5X add 30 minutes
2.0X add 60 minutes
2.5X add 90 minutes
Add the extra time needed to add to the exam time and click on Save.
It will show the extended time

Check extended time in student view using your Test Student account:

Here you can see the amount of time for the exam set up with the extra time added. I did 1.5X exam was 60 minutes this
student has 1 hour and 30 minutes.
When the student clicks on Take the Quiz they will see the time allowed for the exam. Student should know that the
class had 60 minutes to take their exam. With the extended time of 1.5 they should know they have 90 minutes or 1
hour and 30 minutes to take the exam.
