Deionised water, glycol (often ethylene glycol or propylene glycol), and chemical additives are the primary components of coolant. It is your responsibility to make an informed decision about the kind of coolant you use. The decision is based on the engine’s frequency and exposure to various environmental and temperature conditions. An ideal coolant does not freeze even in freezing climates to avoid boiling off into the atmosphere owing to overheating. Insufficient cooling is to blame for at least 40% of engine issues.

Depending on the use and application, there are at least three kinds of coolants used in heavy-duty vehicle engines. The following are their names:
COOLANT IN THE OLD-FASHIONED STYLE
Corrosion-inhibiting coolants protect metals like steel, aluminium, and copper against corrosion when used as standard or conventional coolants. This coolant chemical is excellent for heavy- duty engines since it covers the wet sleeve liner against corruption. Green or purple are the most common colours for these refrigerants. Supplemental Coolant Additives do not need to be refilled regularly, and one may last the engine’s lifespan with only one refill. They’re usually red or orange, depending on the kind.
