How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?

The main image of my short-film poster is a direct link to the scene where Jay answers the phone in the red phone box. This allows the audience to know that this poster is for this short-film. I chose to use an object rather than the main character’s face because it is unconventional to have the character's face in a short-film poster.
The logo of my short-film is also featured in both my poster and the film. This is probably the most significant link because as the logo it is featured on most of the advertising texts.
The similar house style of the poster and the film (at the start) also makes the audience realise that the two are associated, which is what makes them both effective in combination with one another.
The tag-line of my short-film is also the same as the credits in the short-film. This creates another link between the main product and my short-film poster.
The background of my short-film poster are also references to the film as they are repeated images of objects of Jay’s getting ready routine. Whilst this needs the audience to look deeply in to what the background is and means it does create an effective link between the film and the poster.
