Poster Before displaying the How Do We Go Home? Poster, make copies of this Really Good Stuff ® Activity Guide, cut apart the reproducibles, and file the pages for future use. Or, download another copy of it from our Web site at www.reallygoodstuff.com. Hang the Poster where students will be able to see it easily and you will be able to leave it for the year. Always use a dry erase marker on the Poster in order to preserve its Write Again ® wipe-off laminate surface. Copy the How Do I Go Home? Reproducible, and fill in your students’ names. At orientation, use it to collect transportation information from parents. Or, for older students, pass around a copy on the first day of school, and ask them to fill in the information next to their names. Use a dry erase marker to transfer the collected information on the reproducible to the Poster. Remember to include bus numbers in the Bus Riders section. If appropriate, repeat this process for each grading period. Introducing the How Do We Go Home? Poster Point to the How Do We Go Home? Poster, and talk with students about how important it is for you to know how they are going home each day. Mention the importance of the Poster in case a substitute is covering for you. Remind students to let you know if there is ever a change in their after school plans so that you can adjust the Poster. Bus Rider Tags Copy the Bus Rider Tags Reproducible, cut them apart, and fill them in with students’ names and bus numbers. Distribute the tags to students a few minutes before they leave your classroom, making sure they know where to go and which bus they need to get on. For younger students, attach the tags to a shirt, jacket, or backpack. Making a Change Copy the Going Home Change Reproducible, and place them in a basket along with a pencil. If a student’s transportation is going to change one day, have him or her complete a reproducible and hand it in so that you know how the student is to go home that day. After School Care Make copies of the After School Care Reproducible. For those students who remain after school for extracurricular activities, have them fill out a reproducible and return it to you. Keep the forms on file for reference and distribute new reproducibles as needed. How Do We Go Home?
