prevent corruption from happening.

THE KIMBERLEY PROCESS
The Kimberley Process is an international
diamond trade watchdog group
The Kimberley Process discusses ways to stop
the trade of conflict diamonds (Diamonds that are
illegally used to fund violence made by rebel
movements to weaken the government) and make
sure that the diamonds don’t go into legitimate
trades.
Decides if a country can handle their own
diamond trades.

THULI MADONSELA THE PUBLIC PROTECTOR
South African watchdog
The president fired Sicelo Shiceka after
she discovered that he acted unlawfully
Found Tina Joemat-Pettersson guilty of
using public-funds to pay for her holiday
airplane tickets and maybe also her hotel
Tina Joemat-Pettersson got away with it
but we now know that she is guilty of
using public funds for her own gain.
WATCHDOG
Watchdog or watchdog groups investigate the amount of
money that a country has and calculated how much is wasted
and how much is used for someone’s gain and bring those
news to the people of the country because they have the right
to know.
Even though those watchdogs created enemies as they
uncover corruption. Others might also have tried to make
loopholes in their methods but the person or organization can
make mistakes.
Thank you for listening!
