OBJECTIVE OF PRESENTATION
This presentation will show that plantsand animals are dependent upon eachother for survival.
FINDING FOOD
All living living things need
food. Even you! Some animals eat plants. Some animals eat other animals. Some animals eat plantsand animals.
PLANTS MAKE FOOD
Plants need food. Green leaves give off oxygenwhen they make food.Oxygen is a gas in the
air.Plants and animals needoxygen to live.
FOOD CHAIN
The plants use sunlightto make food. The rat eats the plant. The snake eats the rat.The bird eats the snake. This is called a FOOD
CHAIN.All living things are connected through food chains.
HYPOTHESIS
Our hypothesis is how animals get foodin different habitats, and how plants
produce oxygen and food for animals.
PROCEDURE
We made a model of food chain toshow how plants and animals get the food they need. We drew the plant, the rat, the snake and the bird in a different paper plate. We connected our
drawings with tape and yarn.
RESULTS
All living things are part of a food chain.
Green leaves use water, sunlight, and air to make food.
The plants produce oxygen when they make food.
CONCLUSIONS
Animals can be grouped accordingto what they eat.
A FOOD CHAIN shows what livingthings use for food.
