Got an old electrical that’s lost its spark?Like most people, you probably put out your recycling. But what about your old electricals? If they’re broken or unwanted, do you hang onto them because it feels wrong to bin them? Maybe you leave them to gather dust in a loft or cupboard.
Actually, it is a waste to throw them away – because you can recycle them!
Is your toaster toast?Most small kitchen appliances can be recycled. So whether it’s a toaster, a kettle, a microwave or a food mixer, there’s no need to make a meal of it. Just bring it along.
Has your electric toothbrush bitten the dust?From hairdryers to curling tongs, from toothbrushes to shavers, most of the electric devices you use to get yourself ready can be recycled. So get your skates on and bring them along too!
Has your laptop had its chips? Have you got any old gadgets lying around at home? From prehistoric laptops and printers to vintage
VCRs, CD players and electronic toys, you can recycle the lot.
Has your power drill ground to a halt? You can also recycle DIY tools like jigsaws, sanders and drills and even electrical garden equipment like hedge trimmers and strimmers. No need to bury them at the back of the shed!
