The Isle of Mull is the second largest of the Inner Hebridean
islands, and in turn is very popular with tourists from both the UK
and further afield. It is very well connected with transport links
including regular ferry crossings from Craignure to Oban. Daily
services are also available from Fishnish to Lochaline and
Tobermory to Kilchoan.
Mull is a very popular tourist destination with a range of activities
available. The vast and varied landscape of Mull lends itself well to
outdoor pursuits, notably walking, camping and fishing. The island
boasts sandy beaches, beautiful scenery and an impressive
mountain range with Ben More reaching over 3000ft. Alongside,
the natural terrain, there is a significant level of wildlife on the
island. It is a great location for spotting dolphins, golden eagles,
otters and red deer.
Tobermory is the main town on the island and in turn offers the
widest selection of amenities, including shops, cafes , restaurants
and tourist services. The town also offers standard facilities such
as a swimming pool, churches , schools and a nine hole golf
course.
Bunessan is the largest village located on the Ross of Mull and has
its own church and primary school. Furthermore, the village has
several shops and a popular hotel. A Historical Centre has also
been recently opened which has been a great addition to
Bunessan.
