ACKNOWLEDGEMENTI of TYBSc (Computer Science) would like to take this opportunity to thank , first and foremost, Mrs. Kiran Gurbani, our project incharge , who gave her kind cooperation and support throught the development of this project and without whose support, I might not had been able to bring this project off the ground . It is only because of the challenges that she posed in front of me that I was able to put everything into the project and because of which I acquired immense knowledge while working on these challenges. I would like to thank all others who are directly or indirectly involved in the development of project. To all these people, I sincerely convey my heartiest gratitude and thank from the bottom of my heart and it is tey to whom I owe the success of this project, which would otherwise had been a distant dream.
ORGNISATIONAL OVERVIEWDuring the past several decades personnel function has been transformed from arelatively obscure record keeping staff to central and top level management function. There are many factors that have influenced this transformation like technologicaladvances, professionalism, and general recognition of human beings as most importantresources.• A computer based management system is designed to handle all the primaryinformation required to calculate monthly statements. Separate database ismaintained to handle all the details required for the correct statement calculationand generation.
• This project intends to introduce more user friendliness in the various activitiessuch as record updation, maintenance, and searching.• The searching of record has been made quite simple as all the details of thecustomer can be obtained by simply keying in the identification of that customer.• Similarly, record maintenance and updation can also be accomplished by usingthe identification of the customer with all the details being automaticallygenerated. These details are also being promptly automatically updated in themaster file thus keeping the record absolutely up-to-date.• The entire information has maintained in the database or Files and whoever wantsto retrieve can’t retrieve, only authorization user can retrieve the necessaryinformation which can be easily be accessible from the file.• The main objective of the entire activity is to automate the process of day to dayactivities of Hotel like:1. Room activities,2. Admission of a New Customer,3. Assign a room according to customer’s demand,4. Checkout of a computer and releasing the room5. Finally compute the bill etc.6. Packages available.7. Advance online bookings.8. Online Cancellation.9. List of Regular customers.10. Email facility.11.Feedback
DESCRIPTION OF THE SYSTEM• The aim is to develop website, which can manage and
keep the records of the hotel. Computerized reservation technology enables the customer to select and rooms, restaurants, banquet without going to the hotel and he can make transactions with through internet. Thus, the customer can save so much time.
• The entire activity is to automate the process of day to day activities of Hotel like Room activities or Restaurant activities or in banquet activities, Admission of a New Customer, Assign a room according to customer’s demand, checkout of a computer and releasing the room and finally compute the bill.
LIMITATION OF PRESENT SYSTEM
People have to waste so much time for the reservation of the room. Ø For reserving a room in hotel user should have to go to the hotel. Ø This is the very time consuming task. Ø Some time user is very tired then they faces the so much problem. Ø Sometimes user feel the laziness ,this is also failure for the existing system
PROPOSED SYSTEM AND ITS ADVANTAGESPerformance: The records are supposed to be manually handled for all activities. The manual handling of the record is very time consuming. To improve the
performance of the Hotel Management System, the computerized system is to be used. This project is fully computerized and user friendly .
Security: Security is the main criteria for the proposed system. Since no outside user can corrupt the database. So security has to be given in this project.
• Admin logs into his account.• Admin adds details of customer.• Admin updates details of customer• Admin delete customer details.• Customer Login to the System.• Customer Make new Reservation.• Customer Check in.• Customer changes in details• Customer se e any special rooms.
• Customer uses providing services.• Customer gives order.• Customer payment through by cards.• Customer check outs.
EVENT TABLEA table that a list events in tabular format that is in rows &
key pieces of information about each event in columns.EXTERNAL EVENTS:
External event is an event that occurs outside the system usually initiated by an external agent or actor.
TEMPORAL EVENTS:Temporal event is that occurs as a result of reaching a point in time.
EVENT TABLE: Event table is table that lists events in rows & key pieces of
information about each event in columns.TRIGGER:
Trigger is an occurrence that tells the system that an event has occurred, either the arrival of data needing processing or of point in time.SOURCE:
Source is an external agent or actor that supplies data to the system.ACTIVITY:
An activity is a behavior that the system performs when an event occurs.RESPONSE:
An output, produce by the system that goes to the system.DESTINATION:
Destination is an external agent or actor that receives data from the system.
ENTITY RELATION DIAGRAMA graphical model of the data needed by a system, including things about which information is stored & the relationships among them, produced in structured analysis & information engineering. ER Diagram represents entities or tables and their relationships with one another.Symbols:

USE CASE DIAGRAM
• Usecase diagram describes the behavior of the system from the user’s point of you.
• It provides functional description of a system and its major processes.
• It provides graphic description of the users of a system and what kinds of iterations take place within the system.
--- Actor
Element of User Cases
An actor is an any entity that performs certain rules.
---System Boundry
It define the scope of what a system will be
--- Association
This is use to show the participation of actor in use case
---Use Case
UseCase is a visual representation of business functionality in a system.
Relationships in Use Case-• Includes-
Include is used when 2 or more share some common portion in the flow of events. The stereotype <<include>> identifies relationship include. The arrowhead points towards child usecase which is included in the parent usecase
• Extend- In an extend relationship between two usecases. The child use case adds to the existing functionality an characteristics of the parent usecase. It is represented as <<extend>>.

• Activity diagram are useful for analyzing a use case by describe what action needs to take place and when they should occur.
• Describing a complicated sequential algorithm and modeling application with parallel process.
• Activity diagram do not give detail about how object behave but shows the effect of external events on internal processing
--- Initial activity
Element of Activity Diagram
This show the starting point. There can be only one initial state.---Activity Description
Represent by rectangle with rounded edges.
---Transition
Transitions are used mark with movement. Transitions are model using arrow.
--- Decisions
It is represented by a diamond with the option written on either side of the
arrow emerging from diamond.---Synchronization bar (fork and joint)

A common feature of newer fast-food restaurants that distinguishes them from traditionalcafeteria is a lack of cutlery or crockery; the customer is expected to eat the food directly fromthe disposable container it was served in. One popular variation in North America is the deli ordelicatessen, offering made-to-order sandwiches and/or salads from behind a counter. Fast-food operations range from small-scale street vendors with carts to franchised mega-corporations like McDonald's. Although traditionally serving unhealthy food made with pre-prepared ingredients, there are now many fast food restaurants such as Subway and Au BonPain that offer fresh and nutritional food.Fast casual restaurants do not offer table service, but may offer non-disposable plates andcutlery. The quality of food, and price point, are higher than those of a conventional fast-foodrestaurant.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

What is a test case?“A test case has components that describe an input, action or event and an expected response, to determine if a feature of an application is working correctly.”Why we write test cases? The basic objective of writing test cases is to validate the testing coverage of the application. Writingtest cases brings some sort of standardization and minimizes the ad-hoc approach in testing.Test Case SampleTestCase ID Purpose01 Short sentence or so about the
aspect of system being tested. If this gets too long break the test case or put up more information into the feature description.
Assumptions-Assumptions must be met before the test case be run.”Logged In”,”Guest Login allowed”,”user test user exists”.Test Data:List of variables and their possible values used in the test case.Further you can list specific values or describe value ranges. The test case should be performed once for each combination of values. These values are written in set notation one per line.eg.LoginId={valid LoginId,invalid email,empty}.password={valid,invalid,empty}.
Expected valid Username and valid password.Result
Actual Results:1.Invalid UserName and Password
