Ourfarm is situated in a rural area close to Obera, Misiones and has a forestreserve bordering two beautiful streams and waterfalls. Right now, wehave a small house and 2 horses, and soon we hope to incorporatechickens, pigs and buffalo. As we are just starting, we would like help withmany different jobs, both around the farm and in the house. Our plan forthe next few months is to build sheds and barns, prepare water systems, install fencing, make dry composting toilets, plant a vegetable garden, develop an agro-forestry system inside an area of pines already on thefarm, and install a cropping system for fruit trees, shrubs and flowers. Accomodation: We can accommodate a maximum of 2 volunteers. Fornow, we can only offer space to camp, but in the future we want to have ahouse for people who come here to help us. (We would like to build agreen home with mud and wood.) In the main house, there is a bathroomwith hot water, land phone to receive calls from abroad and Internetaccess.Food: We will cook and eat together; at first ingredients will come fromlocal markets, and as we produce more we should use what becomesavailable from our gardens. We are: Reto (Swiss) an organic farmer by profession and Javiera, abiologist. Our children are both under 3 years old. We have workedseveral years with human rights issues and ecology together with farmersorganizations in Latin America and Europe. We have several publications.

We have recently moved into this region and our intention is to participatein local networks right from the start. When to come: We accept volunteers all year but with a minimum stay of2 months. The Rio Bermejo andPilcomayo River sediment discharge their wastewater into the RioParaguay and Rio Parana. It runs approx. 1000 km before emptying intothe R弛 de la Plata placed there about 200 million tons of sediment

the R弛 de la Plata placed there about 200 million tons of sedimentannually. This phenomenon occurs due to the tidal River Plate maritimeinfluenced by tides that are produced regularly by the influence of themoon and remarkably by the action of winds blowing mainly when theSoutheast retaining the waters descend the Parana River and therebycausing the accumulation of sediments that give rise wings of the Deltaislands. This causes a "breakthrough" of the Delta on the Rio de la Platafrom 70 to 90 meters per year.Children: it is possible. Please let us know in advance.
