Weigh In There is no official weigh in for this event. Instructors are responsible

for checking that the weight nominated on entry forms is accurate. AT Insurance Every competitor must be currently registered with Australian

Taekwondo and have proof of insurance/AT card on the day. Coaches Each club is expected to have qualified coaches supervising and

coaching their players. Coaches must be registered with Australian Taekwondo and have a current Working with Children’s Check card.

Where possible, clubs are to provide one qualified referee. Competit ion Draw Full players list will be sent to Head Instructor prior to the

competition. Any questions or modifications to the draw should be submitted by email to [email protected] by 5pm on Wednesday 29 May.

Liabil ity All participants in the tournament take part at their own risk. The

organizer can, under no circumstances, be held responsible for any damages, injuries or loss to individuals or equipment.

Awards Medals or Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places Equipment Compulsory chest guard, groin, shin, arm, mouth and head guards.

Instep protectors and gloves are compulsory. Cadet and Junior black belts must compete in daedo socks Spectators $5 per person/ $10 per family (under 5 years free) Schedule 7.00am Volunteers arrive for set up

Divisions Junior 15 – 17 years

Cadet 13 – 14 years Youth 11 – 12 years Child 8 – 10 years Male & Female Colour belts (Blue, Red) and Black Belts

Cadet and Junior black belts will be using the electronic scoring system No yellow belts will be accepted. No senior competitors Player age is determined by the year of birth. Example if a player turns 10

ANY time this year, they must enter the competition as a 10 year old, even if they have not yet turned 10.

Head kicks only be permitted in the cadet and junior divisions.

This group will also have an option for ‘NO HEAD KICKS’. If either competitor doesn’t want head kicks, the fight becomes a no head kick fight.

Fight Durations 8-10 and 11-12 years 3 x 60 sec rounds with 20 sec between rounds 13 – 14 and 15-17 years 3 x 90 sec rounds with 30 sec between rounds This is a development competition. The tournament organizer may amalgamate weight divisions and combine different coloured belts into a single division to achieve fair match ups. This will be at the discretion of the organizers in consultation of each student’s head Instructor/coach.

1. I have been advised by the club and understand the risks of Hepatitis B and HIV infection and undertake that the above player/s will provide and use their own personal drink container and towel, each marked with their name.

In the event of any illness and/or accident, I hereby authorize and direct the club and/or its authorized representatives to seek and obtain all necessary medical and/or surgical treatment as may be required and I accept the responsibility for payment and/or reimbursement of all medical expenses incurred on my behalf by the club.

5. I undertake that I/the above player/s will observe the regulation and by-laws of the club and shall comply with all reasonable directions and decisions of its officials and instructors.

6. I hereby acknowledge that a condition of entry to the event is that I will indemnify and keep indemnified the club, it’s committees, trustees, servants, agents, instructors or members against any liability arising from my participation in the event or from any pre-event training and preparation or other activity related to the event and from travel to and from the event or activities.

7. I understand that the above player/s cannot compete if they have been concussed within 30 days prior to this competition and herby confirm that they have not been so concussed. I also confirm that, in the event that a concussion has occurred prior to that, medical clearance for participation has been obtained.

8. I acknowledge that photographs may be taken during the competition by the organizers or other persons and that I may appear in those photographs. In the event that I appear in the photographs, I authorize Taekwondo Australia and The Melbourne Taekwondo Centre to use and authorize use of photographs taken at this competition for promotional purposes, including publication on the club websites. I will make no claim against Taekwondo Australia or The Melbourne Taekwondo Centre for any fee or royalty in relation to the use of photographs.

9. I further declare that, should the above player/s be selected for a team as a result of this event: a) They will train at the standard expected by the appointed team officials and attend all meetings, training

sessions and appointments required as a team member as directed from time to time by any official of the club.

b) Should they fail to meet any obligations as set out herein or fail to observe any regulation or by-law of the Club or fail to comply with any reasonable direction or any officer of the Club or shall, in the opinion of the Club, fail to satisfy any requirements or obligations of a team member, then and in the event I acknowledge that they may be dismissed from the team of the Club and I//they shall not make any claim or demand for any compensation, damages, and/or outgoings incurred by me or them.

10. Any expenses agreed to be paid on my/their behalf by the Club will be and are subject to my conduct, demeanor, performance and behaviour being satisfactory in the opinion of the Club and I acknowledge that failure to fully and properly satisfy obligations hereunder may render me/them liable to refund the Club part of all such expenses.
