ARNAGE WARMBLOOD STUDARNAGE Warmblood Stud in the Mary Valley in Queensland, stands the beautiful imported Hanoverian Stallion, Premonition. This stallion is by Perigueux who is successfully competed by Eva Bitter to 1.45 metres. He also has bloodlines of Lordanos/Werther and Stakkato. This stud also stands the imported Hanoverian Dressage stallion Fiderfürst by Fidertanz/Friedensfürst and has a select group of imported Hanoverian mares with bloodlines such as Balou du Rouet and Quintender. COPABELLAOur breeding programme is designed to produce quality young horses who make the expense of going to Europe to find your next superstar an unnecessary one. And we are doing it. We have imported proven Warmblood dam lines, along with some very good Thoroughbred blood, and combined these with carefully selected stallions to produce top-level performers in both showjumping and eventing disciplines. Julia’s favourite on her team in Europe is Vegas, a Visage gelding we produced here out of a very good Thoroughbred mare. Our flagship stallion, Visage, was imported as a 5-year-old and promptly took the nation by storm, both as an outstanding competitor and as a sire. Twelve years on, his indomitable spirit sees him continuing to compete despite a few major injury set-backs. Meanwhile his progeny are standing out not just for their looks, but for their trainability and temperament. Cadiz (Chin Chin-Holland Rose), gelded in 2013 for health reasons, has also managed to leave his mark as a sire, with a small group of promising youngsters in the wings. And now we are at the next stage, producing progeny out of daughters of Visage and taking the programme to the next level.

DIAMOND B FARMDiamond B continues to lead the way, offering three great stallions for the coming season: Baluga has a modern and winning pedigree. His sire, Balou du Rouet is the best sire son of his illustrious sire, triple World Cup winner and Olympic horse, Baloubet du Rouet. Mixed with the conformation and rideability of the Holstein C line, Balou is stamping himself as a champion sire of young horse class winners and now Grand Prix performers. Baluga’s dam line is the Hannovarian, Carisimo, a son of the legendary Calypso II. The Hanovarian Verband describes this sire as a genuine producer of both jumpers and dressage horses with a known ability for rideability. Baluga brings to the table a tremendous mind, quiet, intelligent and very very rideable. He is currently jumping at Mini Prix level. He has a round, scopey jump, light off the ground and careful. He stamps his progeny with his uphill correct conformation, wonderful legs and feet, and the added bonus of bling. He is crossing over all types and breeds. His oldest are two and breaking in very well. We can’t wait to ride them!

Vivant is simply one of the greatest horses Australian showjumping as ever produced. Produced here in Australia and taken back to represent us at the World Cup final in 2010 for Australia’s highest overall finish of 7th, including 4th in the final Grand Prix class. He represented Australia again at the World Equestrian Games in 2010, being instrumental in Australia’s highest ever team finish of 7th. Vivant was the best Australian score in the Nations Cup event, with a clear and 4

faults. His international career continued with his new owners for the Ukraine. He represented them at the London Olympics, and the 2012 WEG, finishing a wonderful 8th individually. He is still performing at 5 star level, is Rio on the cards? What a stellar career for this wonderful athlete.

Conquistador may have lived a little in Vivant’s shadow in Australia and was sold to the United States after only one very successful season at World Cup here, but he too has continued his climb up the International ladder. With his young American rider, he has represented the USA on Nations Cups teams in Europe, qualifier for the World Cup final in 2013 and is still placing and winning at Grand prix level in the States and at Spruce Meadows in Canada. As sires, these stallions have revolutionised jumping breeding in this country. Multiple young horse champions, multiple squad members and now World Cup winners and placegetters. There is nothing more a stallion needs to do.

EQUUS AUSTRALIAAs breeders and trainers of performance horses we have had many highlights over the past twelve months and it’s hard to prioritise them. Higgins’ licensing with the Hanoverian Society was a very special day. Scoring 9 in jump and 8 overall we were very proud of this wonderful horse. Not only will Higgins become an important influence on the breeding of Hanoverians in Australia, but so will his sire Heraldik and dam’s sire For Pleasure - as they are internationally. We have had nothing but positive feedback from the owners of his progeny and as breeders of performance horses for 30 years, we too have been incredibly impressed by the way our four year olds have stepped out into the competition ring. Plenty of horsepower, jump and movement with a great disposition for work. Winter will see our two year olds started and further work with the three year olds – all fillies! Jess has had a cracker of a year with Casco and Echo, testament to their breeding and training. We look forward to the coming year and their impending step into international competition. Equus Australia offers Higgins at stud, yearlings to four year olds as well as training for horse and/or rider at our stables at Kulnura NSW.

IHBThe coming 2015 season will be a little unknown with regards to stallion semen availability because of the recent outbreak of glanders in Germany. However, at this time of year we normally showcase some of our new stallions and so we shall, but keep in mind that we will have stocks of past stallions available if new stallions are not. From the German State Hanoverian Stud in Celle comes a beautiful grey stallion with a very interesting bloodline, Clinton’s Heart. He is by Clinton out of a Heartbreaker mare with Nimmerdor and Grandeur in the fourth generation. Licensed in Vechta he demonstrated incredible ability with very consistent willingness to perform and an extraordinary jumping technique. Then at his performance test in Adelheidsdorf in

2014 he won everyone’s heart and gained a breeding value for jumping of 138, leading all participants. Also from Celle are the popular sires Stoltzenberg, with a breeding value of 157, Perigueux with 167, and Stakkato with 166. Viscount made his debut in 2013 and is producing some lovely dual disciplined foals. Paul Schockemohle International always has some very special, young, talented stallions for us. The Action Breaker son Action Blue, who shows international flair, style and disposition, comes out of a dam by Chacco Blue. The Chacco Blue son Chacoon Blue has a tremendous canter, and the quality of jump from the perspective of scope, manner and leg technique is excellent. Conbassy (Jumping Champion at the Mecklenburg Licensing in Redefin 2014) is by Contendro I out of a dam by Embassy I and presents himself as a great all-rounder. The grey sire Caligula , by Cornet Obolensky has proven himself internationally with Oleg Krasyuk at World Cups and Grand Prix and will stand at stud for the first time. He has an excellent canter, super-quick reflexes and plenty of scope. So too Casanova (Hol), who, after a long career in the international show jumping sport in Grand Prix and World Cup competition, and who carries the genes of Cadillac by Caletto II x Casino Boy xx, stands at stud for the first time. The PSI stallions Balou du Rouet and Diarado remain as positively the most popular jumping sires still, with good reason due to their phenomenal progeny.

ISLE OF WIGHT FARMWe are committed breeders of Jumping horses, and for almost 40 years have bred our own line of top quality brood mares and stallions using Holsteiner and Thoroughbred lines who have the temperament, trainability and soundness to compete at state, national and international level. Our resident stallions are: Somerset D’ Isle, a 17hh Holsteiner. Sire, Diarado (Supreme Campion of his licensing in Germany), Dam, a Balou du Rouet, mare (Champion of his licensing in Germany). This 5-year-old Stallion is a quality product with a superb canter and jump full of scope and style. His first crop of foals are spectacular with stunning good looks, excellent movement and the best temperaments; Isle of Aspen, a 16hh Holsteiner. Sire, Rocadero (Champion of his classification in Germany), Dam, a Lander imp, mare. Aspen has gained 16 premium foals from three different German classifiers. He is the Sire of the highest scoring Champion colt Foal and the highest scoring Champion filly of the Australian tour conducted by Herr Norbert Boley from the Holsteiner Verband Germany; Magnetic Isle, a 16.1hh Holsteiner. Sire, Gottlich Klaus, Dam, a Wildfeuer imp mare. He was second highest scored Stallion from the same tour. OAKS SPORT HORSESOur vision has always been to breed the best of European blood in Australian conditions for both the Australian and international market. We are pleased with the interest our first Oaks horses have generated in Europe – there are now five competing overseas, with others to follow. An equal priority is to produce horses of the highest quality that are available to Australian riders. We have always been great believers in the quality of our mares. First we select the best of pedigrees, then look for conformation, soundness, movement and especially character – heart, courage, toughness. A sound upbringing based on respect and trust, and good nutrition, round off the formula to produce an Oaks Sport Horse. Our mares are by jumping foundation sires like, Jalisco B, Darco, Cassini I, Carthago, Heartbreaker, Quidam de Revel, Caretino, to name a few. This strong dam base allows us to try some of the younger sires as well as established stallions like Kannan, Mr Blue, Contendro I and Armitage. We are very proud of our 2015 foals. All scored exceptionally well at the AWHA Assessment, with two winning their sections. Several are by the European champion, Emerald, two by our own stallion, the Calvaro son Concorde Ego Z. The Kannan foals have been outstanding. Every Oaks horse has a strong performance pedigree. We are delighted to see our horses taking their riders to success in all levels: from Young Horse Champions to Grand Prix wins. The Oaks Sport Horses stud is a busy and bustling place. We run regular clinics for jumping as well as many other disciplines. Breeding season is always busy for us – inseminations, scans, all mare and foal related services for clients as well as our own horses. This year we again offer semen from Emerald (x Diamant de Semilly). The quality has been excellent and the foals compact-bodied and strong. A big part of our focus is the Oaks Young Horse Series. Running from August 1 to the final in May, this series has struck a chord with competitors and owners and we are seeing an ever increasing number of nicely bred, well-schooled young horses competing in classes designed for their development. Our Oaks property will be the venue for several of these shows so all in all we are providing a full jumping experience from the breeding of quality horses to the competition itself.

NINTENDROPedigree, performance, progeny – Nintendro has it all. He is by one of the all time jumping greats, Numero Uno (by World Cup champion, Libero H, out of a mare by Lord Calandro, the sire of Lux Z) and out of a mare by Contender’s best son, Contendro I, out of a mare by another great, Grandeur. Nintendo was imported in utero, and his dam, Congranda placed in World Cup qualifiers in 2014. Nintendo has already won fans with his performances on the jumping circuit and placed at Sydney Royal 2015. He has perfect ground covering paces, a powerful, elastic jump showing perfect style, scope and carefulness. Standing still, he is the model of the modern jumping horse: perfectly set on neck, beautiful intelligent head, first rate front legs and feet, a good shoulder, short strong back, powerful hind leg structure and clean well defined hocks. Camelot Ego Z has retired into the caring arms of Jane Paroissien and Rob Stack situated at Trunkey Creek, NSW. Camelot continues to have one of the highest success rates per brood mare for producing sound, successful young competition horses. Camelot has a proven track record for producing youngsters that can be ridden by amateurs at a level to match it with the professionals. This year, he has three featuring in the EA Young Talent squad amongst so many others in successful competition. Camelot passes on a superbly balanced canter with instinctive flying changes so we are not surprised by his offsprings’ many dressage and eventing successes as well. Camelot will be available for limited live cover at Trunkey Creek or limited frozen AI, by arrangement with Summersea.

RBH JUMPING HORSESBernie and Russell Hearn are two of the stalwarts of Australian jumping breeding. They are now on their fourth generation in a breeding program that started where all good breeding programs should, with a mare with proven performance, RBH Narla, who had jumped B grade with Russell, before she became Bernie’s foundation mare – and went on to produce seven wonderful foals, the oldest of which is eight years old and jumping Mini Prix! But the Hearns have also used some of Europe’s finest jumping sires to enrich their breeding program: Cyrano de Bergerac, Monte Bellini, Chacco Blue, Coupe d’Or, Diarado, and Conquistador, when he was in Australia. Bernie and Russell went to Europe in 2012, returning with their Hanoverian mare– RBH Paris, who was second in the six-year-old class at this year DJWTS. Bernie and Russell found her as a three year old, broken only three weeks earlier, from a small farm in the north of Germany with the help of Jens Meyer. The Hearns are offering frozen semen from Mr Image, who is by Monte Bellini, who is known for his ground covering, uphill canter, his powerful back, his outstanding technique, and bascule paired with impressive speed to the fence. Monte Bellini won the jumping championship at the Bundeschampionate, not once but twice, earning record scores, including one of 9.7. Mr Image is out of the foundation mare, RBH Narla, and combines the best of both worlds. RBH Narla’s Grand dam Image held two titles with Russell when he was still a junior. In the same year, they were Victorian junior showjumping champions at Olympic Park, and won the Australian speed championship at Adelaide. Image started jumping as a two year old and by the time she was four years old she was B grade, before going on to compete A grade.

Premonition is a licensed and performance tested stallion who came fourth at his performance test with an excellent score of 9.5 for freejumping and 8.5 for rideability, 8.5 for cross country, 8.5 for trot and canter, during his 70 day test.

Premonition’s sire Perigueux, internationally ridden by Eva Bitter, has been at the top of the breeding index for the last two years with an accuracy of 80-89%. He was also the most successful six-year-old Hanoverian stallion of 2008.

Lordanos, his dam sire, is also a grand prix winner and he is the sire of many successful showjumpers including Lord Weingard who was the best showjumper stallion in Vechta in 2003.

YALAMBIAfter a very busy breeding season with 12 new foals, we moved straight into our competition season. Our first big success was Yalambi’s Carpino Z (Carinjo x Capitol I) together with Alison Rowland winning the Sydney Royal World Cup Class. This was Carpino’s first time at the Sydney Royal Easter Show and second ever World Cup competition. Now aged 10, Carpino has matured and moves from strength to strength. Carpino’s elite foals are growing up and have his wonderful temperament, they are easy to break in and very trainable. The 4 and 5 year olds are already making their mark in the competition scene.

Our two younger stallions, Yalambi’s Cassini Rosso (Cassini II x Stolzenberg) and Yalambi’s Fair Diamond (Indorado x Indoctro) are following in Carpino’s hoof prints. Their first crop of foals arrived this year and all foals were of exceptional quality. We presented 8 of them for the ACE assessment tour, resulting in 4 Elite and 3 Premium awards. Our champion foal this season was Yalambi’s Koko Chanel by Cassini Rosso, out of Yalambi’s Trendy Lady (Indoctro x Nimmerdor). Both Cassini Rosso and Fair Diamond produced very nice types and good moving foals, with long legs, and pretty faces. Cassini Rosso certainly passes on his ‘Bling’ with most of his foals sporting amazing blazes and white markings. Fair Diamond puts his stamp on his offspring, passing on his modern athletic type. Both stallions are working well under saddle and are jumping with fantastic technique and rideability.

We are also very excited to intoduce our new stallion for the 2015/16 breeding season; Yalambi’s Confidant (Confiance x

Cornet Obolensky). Yalambi’s Confidant is a Mecklenburg (Germany) approved 3 year old stallion. He is a very modern ‘blood’ type with a beautiful expression. He is the perfect mix of elegance and power through his elegant father line of Contendro I x Ladinos x Landadel, crossed with the power and scope of his mother line which is Cornet Obolensky x Acorado x Graphit. Yalambi’s Confidant will be available with fresh chilled semen for this season.

With 72 horses now on the farm, we have a wide range of very high quality horses for sale, ranging from foals through to 5 year olds. Prices start from $12,500. After George Morris’ recent visit to Yalambi he commented that he would liked to have taken at least 10 of our horses home with him, which was a great vote of confidence from one of the world’s most accomplished riders and trainers.
