3-Pass Design

First Pass - The burner fires down the middle of the furnace.

Second Pass - Hot gases return along the furnace walls to the front door.

Third Pass - The hot gases turn at the door and travel downthrough the submerged tubes, into the exhaust chamber, andexit out the flue.

3-Pass Design

First Pass - The burner fires down the middle of the furnace.

Second Pass - The hot gases are collected in the rear chamberand then pass through a series of submerged tubes returning tothe front chamber behind the insulated front door.

Third Pass - The hot gases turn at the door and travel downthrough the submerged tubes, into the exhaust chamber, andexit out the flue.

Optional Ancillaries:

Fulton offers a complete line of high quality ancillaries for usewith any of our horizontal firetube boilers.

PLC Control System:

Fulton’s own boiler monitoring system with Human MachineInterface (HMI) is available upon customer’s request. Fulton’sPLC based system, including O2 trim, monitors the boileroperating status. It’s user friendly screen makes the boileroperating data easy to understand and simple to operate. ThePLC monitors and displays the following: boiler operatingpressure, pump operating status, boiler water level, burneroperating status, and stack temperature. The PLC is expandableto show additional operating and measurement data.

Enhanced Level & Pressure Controls:

Pressure differential transmitter level controller with 4-20maoutput to modulate a feedwater valve or pump, VFD is availableand highly recommended on boilers larger than 150 HP. Anupgrade to PID type pressure or temperature controls areavailable if tighter tolerances are required than standardpressure or temperature switches.

Automatic Blowdown Systems:

Blowdown protects the boiler from severe scaling or foulingproblems. Fulton’s automatic surface or bottom blowdownsystems have all the necessary components to keep boiler totaldissolved solid levels in check. Fulton can design energyrecovery systems that transfer heat from the blowdown waterto the feedwater or makeup water systems.
