Dave and his friend Lindsey turn not talking into a contest between the boys and the girls. The whole fifth grade stops talking for two whole days. During school and out of school. All the teachers get mad and try to get them to stop the contest. Read the book to find out what happens.

They both returned into present time then ended up in Joey’s baseball game and Joey is up next.

The book Shiloh Season is a story about a dog named Shiloh and a boy named Marty who encounter troubles with a grumpy man named Judd. Judd has a huge drinking problem. This starts to become a difficult situation for Marty’s family when he starts to hunt on the family’s private land, and they’re all afraid that Shiloh may get hurt. The situation starts to get out of control when Judd actually shoots Marty, Judd’s nasty dogs get loose and almost kill Marty’s younger sister, and he starts driving his truck crazily all over town. In the end tragic things happen. Read the book to find out who saves the day.

• The story The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket tells about three children named Claus, Violet, and Sunny. In this story these three children lost their parents in a tragic fire that burnt down their mansion. Now the three orphans have to live with terrible Count Olaf who makes them do horrible chores. Then Count Olaf wants to get married to 14 year old Violet so he can get all their money. After that, Claus burns the marriage deed. I wonder what will happen?

The story The Night I Flunked My Field Trip by Henry Winkler and Lin Oliver tells about some friends Frankie, Ashley, and Hank Zipper. Hank, the main character, has so much bad luck. He made a lot of mistakes on his class overnight boat trip. Hank’s problems began when he did not have his permission slip. His problems continued when he was given a book on how to tie knots. He ended up untieing the boat from the dock. This book was very funny and kept me turning the pages.

Technical Foul is a book written by Rich Wallace, that takes place place at Hudson City Middle School in New Jersey. Jared and Spencer are Co-Captain of the basket ball team. Jared is tall, white, and can be really selfish on the court . Spencer is short and black and is just the opposite of Jared on the court. Through out the season Spencer keeps talking to Jared, Spencer brakes through to Jared and they become friends and win the title of Champions.

But they soon find out that two men have smuggled a priceless,endangered bird called a cockatoo onto the Ghan.So, it is up to Zach and Eve to stop the bad guys. Even though they get thrown off the train, and almost killed, you will enjoy this book as much as I did.
