Dear children The future becomes bright if, Today sweats hard.
Past is a testimony to the fact that only diligence and dedication
have reaped sweet results. Moreover, I personally feel that if
smart people worked hard and grew up in a reasonably nurturing
environment, success would come eventually. It gives me not just
joy but also makes me swell with pride when I share with you the
result of our class 10 and 12 students who appeared for board
examinations. Their output is a reflection of goal centred
approach, hard work and persistence. Many congratulations to them
for this feat of achievement. As a senile leaf gives way to a fresh
one indicating a change and resurgence of life; our E magazine -
Vibhuti, has now been replaced with the Quarterly Newsletter. This
change has presented opportunities for innovation and a different
perspective. Moreover, this will open avenues to keep ourselves
updated. Branching out into unknown territory and trying out
different things has always been the norm and salient trait of
Lancers. Presenting before you the maiden issue of our
newsletter.

- A Workshop
by CBSE
Life skills are abilities and behaviours that help you
effectively deal with the events and challenges of everyday life.
They are the skills that allow you to handle everything from
interactions with others to identifying and processing your
emotions. Lancer’s Convent in collaboration with CBSE organized a
workshop on 15th May 2019 for its teachers to enhance their Life
Skills among its teachers. The resource person Dr. Mohan, Dr.
Banerjee and Ms. Shweta enlightened the faculty with their
enriching experiences. The teachers were facilitated with different
techniques which included brainstorming, question answer sessions,
group activities and many more. The multitude of methodologies was
utilized to the fullest by the teachers. The workshop concluded
successfully and all the teachers actively participated in all the
activities. The concepts with which the teachers were unaware of
were imbibed in them
and left a positive message for all “One should create the
highest grand vision possible for our life because we become
what we believe”.

TOBACCO KILLS ITS BEST
CUSTOMER – SLOGAN WRITING
In continuation of the school’s vigorous and on-going endeavour
to create awareness among the students about the ill effects of
tobacco, a Poster making Competition was organised in the school
for classes 6 to 12 in the Class Teacher's Period. The activity
aimed at educating students against hazardous and life-threatening
effects of tobacco and nicotine. The focus was on creating
awareness among the students on the ill effects of tobacco
products. The students presented vibrant creativity in their
posters and slogans. It also highlighted how it affects our nervous
system, physical body, academics and social life. The aim was to
sensitize all on this core issue. The response of the students was
overwhelming and the motive of enlightening the youth took the
shape of reality. This will be one drop in the ocean to aware and
empower adolescents who will be prepared to combat this devil of
tobacco use with ease.

VECTOR BORNE DISEASES –
BRAIN STROMING SESSION
To practice critical thinking, students need to participate in
the discourse of the discipline to think, speak, and be listened to
as they participate in the discipline's particular mode of inquiry.
The interaction between the teacher and the students is an
essential part of teaching and learning process. Classroom
interaction stimulates the student involvement in the classroom.
Motivating the students to learn and explore more on the issue of
vector borne diseases, a “Brain storming Class Interaction” was
held among the teacher and students of classes VI to XII.
Vector-borne diseases account for more than 17% of all infectious
diseases, causing more than 700 000 deaths annually; it was an
interesting session, including mind boggling facts and figures
which engaged the students. The students showcased their pre
requisite knowledge by interacting with the teacher and peer group.
It was a very informative and knowledge enriching session. The
school encourages such positive sessions and hopes to bring out the
best in all its students, while ensuring that the children learn
through all possible ways- not just through books and class room
teaching.

4R’s – Recycle, Reduce,
Reuse and Respect
BRAIN STROMING SESSION
“A clean India would be the best tribute India could pay to
Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary in 2019,” said Shri
Narendra Modi as he launched the Swachh Bharat Mission at Raj Path
in New Delhi, on 2nd October 2014. Most of us have learned that
there are 4 R's in the process of creating and maintaining a
comprehensive recycling program. Though this has been a good start
for educating and making recycling a more mainstream concept, it is
vital to recognize the ultimate goal of this type of program;
eliminating waste! To eliminate waste, we need a clear thought
process. Churning the minds when they are still young, the school
organized a “Brain Storming Session” on the same theme for classes
VI and X, the children came up with diverse possibilities which
will ensure minimum wastage of the resources on earth. The 4 R's
provide an ecologically sound and environmentally friendly approach
to minimizing and managing waste and waste streams. The 4 R's
approach attacks a waste stream in a logical and methodical method
by taking steps to sequentially Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Respect
a waste stream into incremental fractions. It was a very
informative and knowledge enriching session. The school encourages
such positive sessions and hopes to bring out the best in all its
students, while ensuring that the children learn through all
possible ways- not just through books and class room teaching.

ववभाग द्वारा आयोजित हहिंदी उत्सव हर्षोउल्लास से मनाया गया| इस उत्सव
में कक्षा चौथी स े लेकर दसवीिं कक्षा तक के ववद्यार्थसयों ने भाग
ललया| सभी प्रततयोर्गताएँ सदनानुसार आयोजित की गई| चौथी कक्षा के
ववद्यार्थसयों न े वीर रस से सिंििंर्ित कववताए ँ प्रस्तुत की ,वहीिं
पाँचवी कक्षा के ववद्यार्थसयों ने भार्षण प्रततयोर्गता में भाग लेकर
अलग-अलग रािनेताओिं व महापुरुर्षों के भार्षणों से सिका ध्यान
आकवर्षसत ककया| उनकी वेशभूर्षा व भार्षण शैली से हर कोई मिंत्र-मुग्ि
सा हो गया| श्रीमिी ड िंपल जुनेजा तनणासतयका के रूप में उपजस्थत थीिं
उन्होंने अपने शब्दों से छात्रों का उत्साहविसन ककया| कक्षा छठी के
छात्रों ने आशु-भार्षण प्रततयोर्गता द्वारा ववलभन्न व्यककतत्व िैस
ेप्रिानमिंत्री ,सैतनक किकेटरकेरूप में आकर अपनी अद्भतु कल्पनाशजतत से
व्यककतत्व को िखिूी उभारा| कक्षा सातवीिं के ववद्यार्थसयों ने नारी
सशजततकरण पर काव्य गायन एविं मिंचन प्रस्तुत करते हुए नारी के ववलभन्न
स्वरूपों की झलक प्रस्तुत की I कक्षा आठवीिं के ववद्यार्थसयों ने
समसामतयक ववर्षयों पर रेडियो शो प्रस्तुत करते छात्रों का मनोरिंिन
ककया तथा अपने अलभनय के द्वारा सि को मन्त्र –मुग्ि कर हदया I कक्षा
छठी, सातवीिं व आठवीिं की प्रततयोर्गताओिं के तनणासयक ॉ.महेश चिंद्र
शमाट िी ने प्रततभार्गयों का उत्साहविसन करते हुए उनका मागसदशसन भी
