(2C) Represents the 2-drop set at either end of the row (if you choose to add them).
Pass the needle back through the centre bead and back out the
opposite side to make the following:
and pass thread back through original 2nd bead, the centre
bead and through the next bead on the same side. Pull snug
so that your 2-drop herringbone on the top section is tight.

How to set up the initial pod shop with a 2-drop herringbone:
Written Instructions for one side of pod / (Make 2, 3 or 4 for 3D Peyote 2-Drop Pod)
1. Thread centre bead (in this example - gold), add two beads (in this example - black), knot and pass thread back through first bead.
2. Add two more beads (in this example - black) and pass thread back through first bead and through next bead. Pull for a snug tension.
3. Add two more beads (in this example – black) and pass threadback through original 2nd bead, the centre bead and throughnext bead. Pull snug so that your 2-drop herringbone on the top section is tight.
4. Add two more beads (in this example – black) and pass threadback through remaining bead. This preps the base ready forstarting your next row.
The section marked in red in the diagram is the section you’ve just created (This completes Rows 1 and 2 from your pattern on Page 2).

5. In order to get a snug 2-drop herringbone, I would suggestadding two beads at a time… So, add two beads (in this example – black) to make first part of herringbone and then add two more to make 2nd part. Pass thread back through 4 beads.
6. Now add your middle (single) peyote bead (in this example-gold) and pass thread through next two beads.
Again, add your 4 herringbone beads by adding two at a time.On final 2 beads, pass thread back through all 4 beads.
7. Add your middle (single) peyote bead (in this example – gold)and pass thread through all 4 beads, stepping up ready for next row. (This completes Row 3 from your pattern on Page 2)
8. The section marked in yellow in the diagram is the section you’ve just created.

Then, add two beads (in this example – black). Pass through centre bead. Add two more beads (in this example – black). Pass through next two beads ready for next set of 4 herringbone beads.
10. Again, add your 4 herringbone beads by adding two at a time.On final 2 beads, pass thread back through 4 beads.

11. Then, add two beads (in this example – black). Pass through centre bead. Add two more beads (in this example – black). Pass through next two beads ready for next 4 herringbone beads, stepping up to start next row.The shape will now pull more snugly into a boat/taco type of shape.
You’ve now completed up to the Green box. (This completes Row 4 from your pattern on Page 2).
Continue in this manner until your pod piece is complete and then add a single zip row as shown to the far right of the diagram.
