URCA GRANTS
Funding for student-initiated research and creative
projects
• Open to undergraduates of any major
• Application requires a project proposal, abstract, budget, and faculty
mentor letter of support
• Recipients present at a poster session in May
• Application deadline – November 4

FRAP – Faculty Research Assistance Program
Provides opportunities for undergraduates to gain
valuable research experience with UCSB faculty
•Use the FRAP Directory to find current research projects posted by
faculty members and contact them to apply
•Undergraduates work as research assistants to earn units (enroll in
department’s 98, 99RA, 199 or 199RA)
