The classic BitTorrent protocol is limited to the tit-for-tat mechanism BitTorrent プロトコルは“お返し（ tit-for-tat ）”メカニズムの制約を

受けている。つまり、ユーザはファイルピースをダウンロードしたいとき、通常は別のファイルピースをアップロードしなければならない。

多くのインターネット接続が非対称で、ダウンロード速度とアップロード速度が n:1 になる場合、事態はいっそう悪化する。ユーザが“お返し”メカニズムに基づいてファイルをダウンロードするとき、このことが問題になる。

Furthermore, this system offers no incentive for users to upload once they have finished downloading, so many users turn off their file sharing client when they are done.

要するに、ユーザのアップロード能力が低いために、ダウンロード能力をフルに利用できない

A virtual currency can overcome the shortcomings of the P2P(BitTorrent…) protocol to improve the efficiency of the system.

By introducing a virtual currency, It can alleviate this problem. Users can earn currency for uploading, and they can spend it at a later time for fast downloads. 　

Every user records his individual trade interactions with other peers, and also this information is forwarded to other peers in the system. Over time, a decentralized trust graph emerges that allows all users of the system to trade with the virtual currency.

Incentive Model used in Maze New users are initialized with 4096 points. Uploads: +1.5 points per MB uploaded Downloads: -1 point per MB downloaded

within 100MB, -0.7 per additional MB between 100MB and 400MB, -0.4/MB between 400MB and 800MB, and -0.1 per additional MB over 800.

Downloads requests are ordered b T = requestTime− 3 ∗ logP , where P is a user's point total.

Users with P<512 have a download bandwidth quota of 300Kb/s.

When you want to download the files more quickly but it is difficult to up the speed by yourself. Because you can not change the overlay network topology only by yourself.

Using the social networking concept of connecting users in virtual friend circles to help download files.ファイルのダウンロードを促進するために、ユーザどうしを仮想的な友達の輪で結び付けるというソーシャルネットワーキングの概念も使用している。

ユーザが友人たちに助けを求めると、友人たちは彼が現在相手にしているグループと欠けているファイルピースについての情報を取得する。このようにして、彼らは同じファイルをダウンロードすることで彼と同じグループに参加し、ダウンロードしたファイルピースを彼に転送することにより、事実上、アップロード帯域幅を寄贈することができる。
