Sharp and stylishA wide body and a wider track for that solid, planted feel. A sharp-edged design with pronounced and muscular wheel-arches. The floor is now lower and the wheelbase is longer to provide more space. Tandem space has been increased by 25mm; while the knee space is increasedby 35mm. The distance between front occupants has been widened by 40mm to secure an ample front view for rear passengers. And a 15 mm reduction infloor height is achieved through an optimized exhaust system layout, a thinner floor frame and slender fuel tank.

The look of the new Accord pleases the eye as well as providing greater aerodynamic efficiency. And a nearly flat bottom is achieved by positioning the stampedsteel frame rails above and inside the sedan’s body. This improves fuel mileage and reduces interior noise from undercarriage air turbulence.

Meanwhile the sedan’s front corners are boldly sculpted and its distinctive lines crafted to perfection. The sleek headlight design further distinguishes thisprofile. The Accord’s wide opening doors allow passengers easy access into the stylish cabin. And the brilliantly finished, dual exhaust makes for animpressive view from the rear.

Driving comfort is assured with the multifunction tilt and telescopic steering. The paddle shift reduces unnecessary gear shift-up in cornering and supplies acceleration immediately after making a turnwithout the driver having to lift a finger from the steering wheel. For driving information, the easy-to-read instrument panel is set to assist you and reduces your fatigue on the road. The audio system issituated on the interface dial and reads MP3 and WMA files or a CD-R and displays the track information on the screen. The centre panel also consists of a premium Dual-zone Automatic Climate ControlSystem that is within reach for you and your passengers.

SuspensionThe improved double wishbone front suspension stabilises braking and steering response. While thenew compact in-wheel Multi-link Rear Suspension reduces road noise, vibration and harshness with a40% increase in rigidity.

The sedan comes with three types of engines: the 2.0 litre SOHC i-VTEC engine, 2.4 litre DOHC i-VTEC engine and the 3.5 litre V6 i-VTEC VCM engine. *Combined with the VCM Technology,a system that activates and deactivates the engine’s cylinders, it meets the demand of both acceleration and fuel savings faithfully.* Applicable for 3.5 V6.

Shift Hold ControlReduces unnecessary gear shift-up incornering and supplies accelerationimmediately after making a turn. Thepaddle shift system allows the driver tochange gears manually without removinghands from the steering wheel.

VCM (Variable Cylinder Management)The new VCM increases high power performance and enhances fuel economy by partiallyhalting the action of some cylinders through freely controlled engine displacement based onthe driving pattern.

Noise, Vibration and HarshnessIntegral to the VCM, comprehensive Noise, Vibration and Harshness systems dampen theroar of the engine, as the engine switches between three, four to six cylinder operations.Special rubber floating mounts, acoustic roof lining, and hood insulators work together tominimise the intrusion of sound into the cabin for a quieter driving experience.

Safety has no limitsThe safety package in the all-new Accord is more armoury than mere assurance. The array of dynamic systems is simply outstanding. Take the Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) as an example.It maintains control for the driver during cornering, acceleration and sudden manoeuvres and it modulates the engine torque output as required. It’s just one of the many innovations: for thatgreater sense of security and responsibility towards safe motoring for all.

VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist)

Vehicle Stability Assist controls sudden changes in vehiclebehaviour, keeping the driver in control. When driving in unexpectedsituations, or tight cornering, the system stabilises the vehicle,reducing counter-productive driver tension. VSA comes as standardin the 2.4 VTi -L & 3.5 V6.

Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) provides lateral skidding prevention and stabilized cornering.

Front active headrestshelp mitigate neckshock in a rear-endcollision. A linkmechanism in theseatback moves theheadrest forward andupward to support thepassenger’s head.

Front 3-point seat belts with automatic tensioning system ride across thelap and chest to help restrain occupants during sudden stops or impact.

The all-new Accord is geared with all the safety considerations.
