Course Scope: This course is a certification course in accordance with 49 CFR and DOD 4500.9-R. It is specifically designed to fulfill the need for general awareness/familiarization and safety training for HAZMAT employees as required by 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Section 172.704. It does not fulfill the need for function specific, security awareness or in-depth security training also required by 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Section 172.704. This course provides training associated with the transportation of hazardous materials. Focus is on the nine hazard classes and documents associated with shipping hazardous materials.

Course Scope: The SEJPME Course is a stand-alone web-based course that uses multi-media instruction. The course contains a pre-test, 11 modules of instruction, section knowledge checks (quizzes), lesson feedback forms, and a final examination. In order to receive a completion certificate, all learning modules and knowledge checks must be completed, a minimum final examination grade of 80% on the final exam must be achieved, and a completed electronic course evaluation and feedback form is required. Student eligibility: US noncommissioned officers and petty officer E5-E9; U.S. Warrant Officers; U.S. Commissioned Officers; U.S. Federal Government Civilian Personnel of equivalent grade; International Military Students(OR7-OR9). Note: Individuals that are selected for promotion to E5 are not eligible. Please plan accordingly for the 40 plus hours of online instruction.

Course Title - Level I Antiterrorism Awareness Training

This stand-alone training is sponsored by the Joint Staff in coordination with the Military Services. Completion of this training meets the annual requirement for Level I Antiterrorism Training prescribed by DoDI 2000.16. The purpose of this training is to increase your awareness of terrorism and to improve your ability to apply personal protective measures. It also provides links to resources you can use in the future.
