This idea was generated by teachers as a good way to identify potential new AFNRE Teachers. As you are well aware Michigan and in fact the entire nation is experiencing a shortage of qualified AFNRE teachers. We had an outstanding day and talked over 900 students across Michigan about becoming AFNRE teachers. We know that the teachers are the best way to influence students to consider Ag Education as a career and I strongly believe that by having a new face of Ag Education in the classroom we will increase that interest.
