Upon login, the home page displays your personalized activities. In addition to the activity stream, you

will find notifications, messaging, invitations, and profile management.

Notifications – Aggregates interactions that require your attention, and can be

removed by selecting the “X” on the right side of each notification. Easily

“Mark All as Read” by clicking “View All”

Messaging – The in-platform messaging feature allows you to message individuals or groups,

including a custom network.

Invitations – Invitations can be extended to anyone via email by

simply clicking on from the main menu, and entering an

email address. You may customize the email or use the system’s

pre-populated text.

Profile Management – Manage your profile by clicking on your picture in

the blue bar at the top-right of any page. You can also update your

information and privacy settings.

Activity Stream

Located in the center you will find a personalized activity stream sorted by date. You can filter activities

by communities, connections, events,

News/Updates, groups, my network,

publications, tags I’m following, and attached

services. For example, attach your Twitter

handle and your tweets will appear in the

stream.

Make a post, ask a question, or add a file right from your home page. First select the audience (your network, custom network, a community, or one of your groups), then make the post. Files can be added to a group or community, while questions can be asked only in one of your communities. Share an interesting post to your IEEE Collabratec network, on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, G+, and via email. Engage with others by making a comment on any post.
