Mission and Ministries Renewal
How is the Holy Spirit
calling you?
Witness and mission are Gospel
demands for those who follow
Christ. Christians fulfill their prophetic
mission by evangelization, that is, proclamation of Christ
by word and the testimony of their lives.
Please pray and discern how you might offer your gifts
and participation for the renewal of our parish in its
liturgical, catechetical, and social ministries.
Return your “Commitment Form” in the basket in the
Gathering Area.
Thank You! We are all the Body of Christ!

SAINTS traditionally remembered in Canada July 8 to 14
July 9—Saint Augustine Zhao Rong & Companions (a group of
Chinese martyrs who died between 1648 and 1930).
July 11—Saint Benedict (c.480 to c. 547) founder of Benedic-
tine Monastery & Benedictine Rule. Patron of school children.
July 13—Saint Henry (972 to 1024, Bavaria) worked in church
reform and fostered missionary activity.
July 14—Saint Camillus de Lellis (Italian 1550-1614). Had a
serious leg disease most of his life. As a youth, he was
rebellious, joined the army & was addicted to gambling. He
later repented after hearing a friar’s preaching, turned his life to
Christ and devoted himself to the care of the sick in hospital.
He became a priest and encouraged other men to devote
themselves as nurses to the sick in prisons, hospitals and on
battlefields. Saint Camillus is patron saint of the sick, of nurses
and hospitals.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES Pastoral Assistant - St. Martin de Porres Parish - Send resume by July 16 to St. Martin de Porres 4720 Castle Rd, Regina S4S 4X1. Attention: Lynda
"I'd love to take the course, but I want to wait until; my kids are grown, I can slow down at work, I'm retired..."
The sad truth is, nearly 75% of young people, even those raised in religious homes, will leave the Church by the time they are 25 - well before many of us retire! Some of the most common reasons given for leaving one's faith behind include; perceived conflicts between faith and science, Christians behaving badly, a lack of evidence for the existence of God and difficulties with some of the Church's teachings. Our sons and daughters need mentors who are "well-trained and animated by a sincere faith..whose life has been touched by the personal and merciful love of Jesus Christ" (Pope Francis).
Currently accepting applications for Fall start. For more information or to register, contact Program Coordinator, Eric Gurash 306.352.1651 ext 211 or email [email protected]
Congratulations to our new Director of Pastoral Services, Archdiocese of
