STEWARDSHIP THOUGHT
In today’s Gospel, the vineyard owner says, “I am free to do as I please with my money, am I not?” We are likewise free. Is a generous return to the Lord in thanksgiving for His many blessings among the choices we have made?
See Matthew 20:15
FEAST OF SAN LORENZO RUIZ & SAN PEDRO CALUNGSOD
All parishioners are invited to join with our
Filipino brothers and sisters in commemorating the feasts of San Lorenzo and San Pedro on Saturday, September 30. Our celebration begins at 4:45pm with a procession. The procession will be followed with mass at 5:00pm and a fiesta at 6:00pm in the social hall. All of the main dishes for the fiesta will be prepared and provided by our Filipino community.
If you plan to attend, it would be greatly appreciated if you could bring a veggie dish and/or dessert to share with your parish family.

ANNUAL BABY BOTTLE DRIVE
All Baby Bottles need to be returned this weekend, September

HURRICANE RELIEF EFFORTS
Our hearts and prayers go out to the families that have lost loved ones; to all who have lost homes and businesses along with their sense of peace and normalcy. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has asked all parishes to assist the victims of Hurricane Harvey. Please make checks out payable to the parish and reference ‘hurricane relief’ in the memo line or you could donate online at the Archdiocese of Seattle website: www.seattlearchdiocese.org. Thank you!
I want to express my gratitude to all who have already so generously made a pledge or given monetary gifts to support our Capital Campaign effort. In just a few short months, over 300 individuals or families have pledged $1.7 million toward our
$2.8 million-dollar goal. We are well over half way there and that is truly a wonderful and grace-filled accomplishment!
Your dedication to, and love for our parish
community, and all who worship here now, and
in the future, is evident in the generosity of your
sacrificial giving to date. It has been a blessing
and a joy to me and our Campaign Leadership
Team to hear the many stories of why our
parishioners have chosen to give, and their
enthusiasm for the benefits and blessings that the
renovation of our church will bring to us now,
and in the future. I am so proud and blessed to be
a member of this parish community and family of
faith that is striving to live out of, and into, our
mission statement! If you have not yet made
your pledge, I encourage you to do so in the near
future so that we can move forward with the
renovation of the church as soon as possible. I
hope that the following information will assist
you in your decision making about how God is
calling you to support our campaign with your
prayers and talents, and to give of your financial
resources to build up our community here at Holy
Trinity. May God bless us all.
In Christ’s Peace,
Veronica Kelley

SEPTEMBER 24, 2017
From today’s Gospel reading: "Are you envious because I am generous?
Reflection: In light of the God revealed in this parable we are challenged to act towards others as God has acted towards us. God has passed judgment, paid the laborers their wages – compassion and grace. Now, we are called to do likewise, go into the vineyard and practice generosity of heart towards others, even if we do not think they have earned it.
So we ask ourselves: -Can we name one significant time when we received mercy from God? - How has that affected how we treat others, particularly those who have offended us?
SAFE ENVIRONMENT TRAINING
If you are new to or considering a ministry serving children or vulnerable adults, you are required to attend a “Protecting God’s Children” Safe Environment class. A class will be held at Holy Trinity on September 26 at 6:30pm in the Faith Formation wing. Register at www.virtus.org or call the parish office for help.
HARVEST DINNER & DANCE UPDATE
The Knights of Columbus Harvest Dinner & Dance held on September 9 was a great success with over 300 people attending. Thank you to everyone who helped to make it happen and just as importantly, thanks to everyone that attended and supported the event.
