To Become An AuxiliAry or AcTive memBer
Contact Pat Johnsen at [email protected] or fill out this form and drop if off at the parish office or place it in the offertory basket during Mass.
You will become part of an email tree. Whenever a funeral is celebrated in the parish, via email you will be notified of the deceased person’s name and of the funeral arrangements.
As a parish family, we support one another in life. The Church throughout the month of November re-minds us that we are called to continue to support one another in death. What a blessing it would be when upon news of the death of one of our members we offered prayers for the soul of the faithfully departed person. The blessing would be upon the beneficiaries of our prayers; it would also be upon us, as we grow in this way in charity.
Active membership remains open to all parishio-ners. In addition to praying on one’s own for the deceased of our parish, active members commit to attending, as seasonally scheduled, Funeral Masses that take place in our parish.
AuxiliAry memBershipTo this end, the St. Joseph Bereavement Committee is expanding to include an Auxiliary Membership. There are No dueS, No MeeTINgS or other temporal obligations. The only commitment is a spiritual one: upon notification of the death of a parish member, to pray for that person. You will be given a St. gertrude prayer card for this purpose.
