Selesi February 2021 Dear Families, Welcome to February and all the beauty of the mid-winter season! Incredibly, Lent begins in three short weeks. This is an opportunity for us to reflect on the sacrifice that Jesus made for us and how we can, in turn, repay that sacrifice in service to one another. On this Lenten journey, we ask that God give us the courage to make a positive change in the world as we strive to journey, en- counter and transform so that we may know the joy of Easter. February marks the midway point in the school year and we wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to our parents/guardians for your continued patience, support and involvement in this very different learning journey brought on by the Pandemic. As partners in your child’s edu- cation, we continue to work together in building and nurturing positive attitudes around learning. We believe all children can learn and seek to know our learners so we can design instruction and assessment to meet their precise needs. Even though we have been learning online, we continue to utilize essential practices in numeracy, literacy and assessment that truly contribute to student success. We know that this has been incredibly challenging for many of our families and as a community we pray for your health, safety and wellness as you continue the valuable work of online learning. We encourage you to continue to take an active role in your child’s education. Please feel free to contact the school if you have any questions regarding your child’s progress. February 2021
Dear Families,
Welcome to February and all the beauty of the mid-winter season! Incredibly, Lent begins in three
short weeks. This is an opportunity for us to reflect on the sacrifice that Jesus made for us and
how we can, in turn, repay that sacrifice in service to one another. On this Lenten journey, we ask
that God give us the courage to make a positive change in the world as we strive to journey, en-
counter and transform so that we may know the joy of Easter.
February marks the midway point in the school year and we wanted to take this opportunity to
say thank you to our parents/guardians for your continued patience, support and involvement in
this very different learning journey brought on by the Pandemic. As partners in your child’s edu-
cation, we continue to work together in building and nurturing positive attitudes around learning.
We believe all children can learn and seek to know our learners so we can design instruction and
assessment to meet their precise needs. Even though we have been learning online, we continue
to utilize essential practices in numeracy, literacy and assessment that truly contribute to student
success. We know that this has been incredibly challenging for many of our families and as a
community we pray for your health, safety and wellness as you continue the valuable work of
online learning.
We encourage you to continue to take an active role in your child’s education. Please feel free to
contact the school if you have any questions regarding your child’s progress. Hoping to be back
in our school building soon!

Dear Families: This is the time of the year that we normally ask you to be thinking about our April Pasta Dinner and saving the date. We are unable to hold our event in 2021 due to the pandemic but that won't stop our efforts to bring you this event 'deconstructed'! Families have been participating in our monthly silent auctions and we hope to secure a pasta take-out option for April as well. We thank you for your ongoing support. We sure miss seeing all of you and look forward to the day we can once again gather. If you missed it, the current auction is live until February 8th and
can be found at: https://www.32auctions.com/holyfamily-january2021
February also brings us an abundance of reminders of our faith and reasons to be grateful. Pancake Tuesday is a great topic to talk with your children about our faith. It's also a great day to have pancakes for breakfast, lunch or supper! Here are a few websites to help you find a kid friendly recipe. Cooking together is a great family experience and a fun way to incorporate math. Easy Pancake Recipe for Kids
