“Will you not spend one hour with me” is the plea of Jesus. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will follow the 8:30 Mass and conclude with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament at 2:00 pm.

Change of Mass Time on Holy Days of Obligation

Please be advised there has been a change in the time of the 12 Noon Mass on Holy Days of Obligation.

From now on it will be at 11:00 AM. Therefore, the Holyday Mass schedule is:

BAPTISM

Baptism takes place usually on the FOURTH Sunday of the month at 2:00 p.m.

To register, please call the Rectory to arrange an appointment and bring

the child’s Birth Certificate, and a $10.00 non-refundable registration fee

to the Rectory.

There are two preparatory events:

• INITIAL INTERVIEW

• BAPTISM CATECHESIS and THE BLESSING OF THE INFANT Registration is ongoing at the Rectory office. ________________________________________________________________

Opening of the 2017 Mass Book

The Mass book for 2017 will be open on Wednesday, October 12th at 9:30 AM in

Msgr. Mahoney Hall. Please come by to arrange an announced Mass for 2017.

The cost of an announced Mass is $15.00 There are also weekly memorials of Sacrificial Bread & Wine, Flowers and Sanctuary Lamps available for memorializing your

loved one in life or death.

8th Grade Students applying for Admission to a Catholic High School in September 2017 need to take the TACHS admission exam. The exam will take place on Saturday, November 5, 2016. You must register for

A special Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 27, 2016, at 11:00 AM for all those parishioners whose health is seriously impaired by sickness or old age and during the course of this

celebration the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be conferred.

We offer this opportunity to all who need healing or God’s grace to strengthen them in their illness or debilitating old age.

There will be a reception to follow in Msgr. Mahoney Hall. If you need a ride please call Sr. Nora McNiff at 718 969-7198.

on the weekend of Nov. 5th and 6th.

As usual, your kind donations are very much appreciated.

We will be collecting at the POD: Sat Oct. 22nd 10-12 PM Sun. Oct. 23rd 10am-12pm

Please bring larger items on the last collection day. We are happy to collect any of your unwanted items such as: household and decor items, glassware, kitchen items, linens, electronics, books, artwork, jewelry, lamps, tools, religious items, games, toys, crafts, sports equip. and small furniture. Tax deductible receipts are available. We are unable to collect computer equipment that is more than 3 years old or older large televisions, stuffed animals, clothes or car seats. HOLY FAMILY BEREAVEMENT MINISTRY

Our Bereavement Support Group is open to everyone that has experienced a loss in their lives, whether it be a spouse, a parent, sibling, child, or special friend. We can help you get through the grief process. We offer you support, understanding, knowledge, compassion, confidentiality, and a safe haven to help you in the healing process. Everyone is welcome, and we are here for as long as you need us. Meetings in St. Francis Hall, the first Wednesday and third Tuesday of every month, 7:30 pm—9:00 pm.
