Romans 15:4 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.

1 Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.

All of the Feasts of the Old Law prepared us for the One Feast of the New Covenant

Acts 20:7 Now on the first day

of the week, when the disciples came together to break

bread,

1 Corinthians 11:23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and

when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, "Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took

the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it,

in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death

till He comes.

1 Corinthians 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the

cup………33 Therefore, my brethren, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.

Feast of ReflectionTrumpets

The Feast of Trumpets was the new yearJews practiced 10 days of repentance before

atonement

Communion requires self examination

1 Corinthians 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.

Leviticus 23:24 "Speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath-rest, a memorial of

blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation

Page 11: Holy Days of God

Feast of ReconciliationAtonementAfter reflection, Jews were to seek

reconciliation with God by AtonementThis was the only time the High Priest entered the Holy of HoliesChrist is the Atonement, and has entered the Holy of Holies

The Atoning Blood of Christ is found in Communion

Leviticus 16:32-33 "And the priest, who is anointed and consecrated to minister as priest in his father's place, shall

make atonement, and put on the linen clothes, the holy garments; "then he shall make atonement for the Holy

Sanctuary, and he shall make atonement for the tabernacle of meeting and for the altar, and he shall make atonement

for the priests and for all the people of the assembly.

Hebrews 9:12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for

all, having obtained eternal redemption.

1 Corinthians 11:25 In the same manner He

also took the cup after supper, saying, "This

cup is the new covenant in My blood.

This do, as often as you drink it, in

remembrance of Me

Page 12: Holy Days of God

Feast of RestorationTabernacles Dwelling in booths/tents to

remind them of the wandering the wildernessThis wandering is likened to our lives while waiting for Christ’s return (Heb. 4)

A mind to Christ’s return is required in Communion

Hebrews 4:9-10 There remains

therefore a rest for the people of God.

For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.

1 Corinthians 11:26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes.
