Augustine Institute Catholic Media
You deserve to curl up with a good book, maybe
the best book. Reading the bible for 10 minutes
each day may change how you respond to your
daily events. Many have tried this and are forever
thankful that they listened, and found the 10
minutes for this each day. Starting at the begin-
ning can be a bit daunting, consider easing into
this by starting with the familiar Gospels.
The New Testament, paperback. This Revised Standard Version
Second Catholic Edition Bible brings together all of the books of
the New Testament and the penetrating study tools developed by
renowned Bible teachers Dr. Scott Hahn and Curtis Mitch, pre-
senting the written Word of God in a highly readable, accurate
translation.
With illuminating study notes, topical essays and thorough indi-
ces, this New Testament Bible is excellent for personal and group
study. The RSV-2CE is the only Bible translation that uses stand-
ard English and is in conformity with the Church's translation
guidelines found in the Vatican document, Liturgiam Authenti-
cam. Available on the kiosk in our lobby, $4 offering .
From the Pastor
Dear Friends,
Today begins Catholic Schools Week—a
time to celebrate our Holy Cross School and
all Catholic education in the Church.
In a world dominated by social media, so
often the values we hold sacred are eclipsed.
Our Catholic Schools are the prime vehicles
of instilling a Christ-centered academic expe-
rience in our children.
Through the years you have helped so many have that oppor-
tunity through our Educate-A-Kid program and I and the families
you have supported are eternally grateful to you.
I pray that we will always be able to have a Catholic school
system that allows our kids to learn in an environment that is a
living experience of our Catholic Faith.
God bless our teachers, students, administrations and families
who work diligently to bring the gift of a Catholic education to
our kids.
