Hollywood's Littlest Prima Donna Copyright 2004, All Rights Reserved www.tomticrncy.com Shirley Temple Shirley Temple During the depression era of the 1930’s, Hollywood’s biggest star was a child. Cute as a button, she was a director’s delight, able to do about anything asked of her. With her mother as her promoter, manager, coach, and agent, plus a lot of luck, at the tender age of three she caught the eye of a kiddie film producer which led to her first films. Studios quickly saw her potential and soon she had the best script writers, camera men, lighting technicians, costume designers, supporting actors, and directors, working to make her the biggest star in Hollywood. Sadly when she hit her teens and was no longer a cute little child, her stardom quickly faded. Some seventy years later, she still has a wide range of fans who dote on her childhood films. She was indeed a phenonomenon. KIDDIN’ HOLLYWOOD Baby Burlesque Series 1932 24 WINTER 2019
