I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving and break! Our lives get really busy this month and we have some wonderful ways to make your holiday and shopping experience a little easier. We are selling beautiful Hopewell and Pittsburgh Spirit Bracelets. We have Bangles for $25 and Crystal Bracelets for $35. Each Bracelet sold will donate $5 to our PTSA. We will also be selling $20 Harold's Inn Gift Certificates and for each gift certificate sold Harold's will donate 10% to the PTSA. Think about Hostess gifts, teachers, family, co-workers, hairdressers, etc.
Also, don't forget that for every weekend in December, Five Below will donate 10% of your sale back to the Junior High. Please remember to bring the flyer with you. The flyer will be emailed, sent home with kids, on our Facebook page and also located on our PTSA website. Feel free to forward the flyer on to family, friends, co-workers
etc. A lot of people shop for stocking stuffers for Christmas, so why not do it when you can kick back to the PTSA.
We also have a few Vocelli's Pizza Cards available for 2 cards for $5. They do expire on 12/31/16 but they would be great to use over the next few crazy weeks. Each card has 2 BOGO Large Pizza, 2 BOGO House baked subs and 2 BOGO breadsticks. Can't beat that deal for $5!
Each school year we spend $12,000 on fieldtrips, assemblies, events at school that we fund. So it is really important to help out with our fundraisers. I totally understand that it is very hard at this level since the kids are in sports, band, musicals, clubs, etc. that also fundraise, but we could really use your support. Each school year it roughly costs $30 per student; that is what the breakdown is. We would love to be able to bring more exciting assemblies and

What Does Our PTSA Do? #HMJHSPTSA Do you wonder what the PTSA does with the money from their fundraisers? It’s more obvious for families to notice the PTA/PTSA involvement in the elementary schools - organizing various events where parents are asked to participate, class parties, being asked to chaperone on the field trips, etc. versus in Junior High.
The truth is our PTSA helps out
more than you may realize, and we would love to be able to provide even more for the children’s educational support.
On the next page is our “Giving Tree” for last year. Over $10,000 of our $12,000 budget went directly to support the
students, their classrooms and their learning experience. The remainder went for administrative expenses (insurance, photocopies, etc.) and teacher/staff appreciation.
When you support our fundraisers, you are helping us help the children and we appreciate it greatly!
