Here is a list of activities that your children should beencouraged to do during the vacation.
Make their beds and tidy their rooms
This habit is more than just a chore. When the bed is setstraight and the room is neat, it brings peace into the room. Itmeans the day has already begun on a productive note.
Helping with the cooking
Take them to the market when you buy vegetables and fruits.Carry a jute or a cloth bag with you. Let them be aware of thecost of things. Once they are brought home, they can sortthem, wash them and store them in the fridge.
Allow them to help you with the cooking. Let them make theirown sandwiches and salads.
Meal Time Help
Have the children help set the plates, cutlery and the dishes.Helping to clear away after the meal and washing the plates isdone to instill dignity of labour.
Putting away the Laundered Clothes
They can help to fold small clothes like socks, handkerchiefs, vests, under garments and stacking them in the correct place. This teaches them to be organized and to be accountable. Theyknow where their things are kept so they won’t bother you.
Visit Grandparents
Let them bond with their elders and grandparents by playingwith them, helping them and listening to stories. Their love andsupport is very important to your child.
Let’s send these things for a vacation
Keep your children away from excessive TV, mobile phones, computers and other electronic gadgets; they have their wholelife for that.
Outdoor Play
Allow your children to play outdoors. It does not matter if theyget dirty or hurt. It’s ok for them to fall down and experiencesome pain once in a while.
