2000, MEDRIX has been serving the people of Vietnam with medical, education and water-related projects for more than 10

How the program works Each surgery costs between $800 and

$2,400, with an average cost between $1,000 and $1,200.

Children and their families are selected by our partners in Vietnam.

The families are interviewed to determine needs.

The children are admitted to Huê Central Hospital where the surgeries

take place. Once the surgeries are completed, follow-up continues to ensure healthy

recovery.

Children’s heart disease is the most common

birth defect globally and 90% of the children born in developing countries have no access to the care they need. With

labored breathing and lack of energy, these

children are not able to attend school or run around and play like

other children. MEDRIX sponsors life-

saving heart surgery for disadvantaged children who desperately need it and can’t afford it. With

the help of our donors and partners in

Vietnam, we have successfully sponsored 59

heart surgeries to improve the lives of children in Vietnam.
