HMT can also assist you in meeting the require- ments of SPCC for tank integrity testing. HMT Inspection places a high priority on reporting. The field inspection data obtained, and the engineering analysis and evaluation work performed must be translated into the proper report format. HMT emphasizes prompt turnaround and quality reporting. The reports are “user friendly” with a Management Summary section containing concise data presented in an understandable manner. In addition to these standard reports, HMT prepares many different types of reports, depending upon the nature of the project. These reports address such topics as Integrity Testing, Suitability-for- Service Evaluation, Verticality Studies, Seal Inspections, Foundation Settlement, Seismic Evaluations, Repair Recommendations, and Post Repair inspections. Contact your local HMT representative to discuss the full suite of products and services that will satisfy all your inspection needs. HMT Inspection offers a complete line of NDE services and engineering evaluations per API Standard 653, API Standard 570, API Standard 510 and STI Standard SP001 based on data gathered from the field inspections. The proper standard is then applied and recommendations are presented. Our certified inspectors and engineers work as a team to provide quality, comprehensive inspections and recommendations in a safe, reliable, efficient manner. Inspectors are certified per ASNT SNT TC-1- A (Level I, II, and III), for a large array of NDE techniques including ultrasonic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, visual, vacuum box testing, helium leak testing, and other NDE methods and techniques. HMT Inspection provides certified inspectors to meet either API or STI Standard SPOO1(for Shop Built Tanks) inspection standard, including tank evaluation, inspection findings, repair recommendations and post repair services in a safe, reliable and efficient manner. ments of SPCC for tank integrity testing. HMT

Inspection places a high priority on reporting.

The field inspection data obtained, and the

engineering analysis and evaluation work

performed must be translated into the proper

report format.

HMT emphasizes prompt turnaround and

quality reporting. The reports are “user

friendly”with a Management Summary section

containing concise data presented in an

understandable manner. In addition to these

standard reports, HMT prepares many different

types of reports, depending upon the nature

of the project. These reports address such

topics as Integrity Testing, Suitability-for-

Service Evaluation,Verticality Studies, Seal

Inspections, Foundation Settlement, Seismic

Evaluations, Repair Recommendations, and

Post Repair inspections.

Contact your local HMT representative to

discuss the full suite of products and services

that will satisfy all your inspection needs.

HMT Inspection offers a complete line of

NDE services and engineering evaluations

per API Standard 653, API Standard 570, API

Standard 510 and STI Standard SP001 based

on data gathered from the field inspections.

The proper standard is then applied and

recommendations are presented. Our certified

inspectors and engineers work as a team to

provide quality, comprehensive inspections

and recommendations in a safe, reliable,

efficient manner.

Inspectors are certified per ASNT SNT TC-1-

A (Level I, II, and III), for a large array of NDE

techniques including ultrasonic,magnetic

particle, liquid penetrant, visual, vacuum box

testing, helium leak testing, and other NDE

methods and techniques.

HMT Inspection provides certified inspectors

to meet either API or STI Standard SPOO1(for

Shop Built Tanks) inspection standard,

including tank evaluation, inspection findings,

repair recommendations and post repair

services in a safe, reliable and efficient manner.

Other Inspection Servicesprovided by HMT Include:

• Engineering Services

HMT’s Engineering services could include

settlement evaluations, corrosion rate

calculations, safe fill height calculations,

seismic evaluation, brittle fracture

evaluations,maximum working pressure and

other evaluations referenced in the various

standards. Other engineering services

include fitness for service evaluations and

inspections per various state environmental

regulations. We also perform specialized

evaluations such as out-of-roundness surveys

and verticality evaluations.

• Alternating Current Field

Measurement (ACFM) Inspection

ACFM is a non-contact technique to detect

and size surface breaking crack-like defects

through coatings up to a thickness of 0.200

inch. HMT has used this method to detect

crack-like defects in tank shell-to-bottom

welds, tank bottom lap welds, sumps,

nozzle and appurtenance welds, and Stress

Corrosion Cracking (SCC) in ethanol service.

Surface preparation is reduced compared

to other NDE techniques.

• Helium Testing / Mass

Spectrometer Leak Testing (MSLT)

HMT’s Helium leak testing program is a

proven, very effective method for the

detection of leaks in many petrochemical

applications, including tank bottoms,

roof pontoons, roof drain systems and

heat exchangers.

• Piping Inspection

HMT’s piping inspection program includes

MFL Pipe Scan services, which provides near

100% inspection coverage for aboveground

un-insulated straight runs of piping and

vessels up to 0.750 inch wall thickness. Our

API 570 inspections and engineering

evaluations provide NDE data, visual

inspection, and engineering assessments that

include Maximum Allowable Working

Pressure (MAWP) and remaining service \

life calculations.

• Low Pressure Storage Spheres/

Pressure Vessels

HMT’s vessel inspection program includes a

full line of NDE inspection services for low-

pressure storage spheres, pressure vessels

and bullet tanks, including a staff of

experienced API 510 inspectors. HMT’s

services include an automated ultrasonic

crawler and MFL wallscan.
