Gently scrapedScraping is a traditional wood-working method. The parquet surface is refined by rough planing, which creates a unique appearance with distinctive ridges and grooves. Scraping makeseach board one of a kind and gives it a fantastic look and feel.

Frame-sawnFrame-sawn parquet boards look quite unusual, as if they camestraight from the sawmill without further treatment. This surfacetreatment is ideal to add contrasts to a modern interior design or to underline a rustic country style.

BrushedMore authenticity, a better feeling – the wood of brushed surfacesis treated with special texture brushes. In this procedure the softmaterial between the annual rings is brushed down, creating a natural look and feel of the surface. A trendy alternative to smoothsurfaces.

Solid-coloured top layersThe colour of these floors is changed in a special manufacturingprocess, starting from the inside. – The whole top layer of the woodis coloured through. The parquet is particularly resistant and idealfor installation in residential applications with heavy wear and tear.

The bevel: chamfered board edges

2V: The edges are chamfered on both long sides, emphasising each individual board.This is what we call “bevelled edges”.

4V: The edges are chamfered on the long sides and the short side – for an even morevivid effect. The experts call this “long and short side bevelling”.

As a vibrant material, each wood type has its own distinctive features. This includes the most various interactions with air and light or UV light.Light wood gets darker with time, dark wood types tend to lighten.A key wood compound is lignin.– It changes the colour of the wood when exposed to sunlight. It is a completely normal and natural phenomenonthat we know from ourselves as well. During the summer, human skin catches the sun and turns brown. It depends more or less on one’s nature. Tropical wood species can strongly alter when exposed to light. Iroko and Doussie wood tend more towards a dark brown tone.
