2.8.1 HiPath 1100 Manager HiPath 1100 Manager is a Windows application with which the HiPath 1100 system can be configured and administered. The tool offers the following basic functions: Identification and display of system extensions Backing up and reading in the system configuration Remote administration with password protection and call number check

2.8.2 Small Hotel There are about 17,4 Mio hotel rooms and 320.000 hotels worldwide, with an annual growth of 1,5 – 3,0% (Source: Vertical market compendium Hospitality, 04/2006). Many of them are small hotels or guesthouses with few rooms. An integrated hotel solution allows additional sales of HiPath 1000 systems into this segment. This solution offers a significant advantage compared to other competitors. Small hotels and guesthouses are not able to spend money for an external front office hotel application (like HiPath Hospitality Service Center). Providing the core hotel features checkin/checkout, call accounting per room and wakeup calls as integrated solution within HiPath 1000 systems without extra cost is exactly what the customers want. Precondition for working of that solution is a PC and a printer for billing. Each guest room has a phone, usually an analogue standard phone (e.g. Euroset 5010). The receptionist uses an optiPoint or OpenStage telephone.

2.8.2.1 Features The following features of the Hotel application for HiPath 1000 are supported: COS change of any phone (room) with Check in or Check out command at the programmer extension (receptionist phone) Easy-to-use call accounting application for room name and number, room status, Check in / Check out date and time, call duration and call cost with factor based billing. The data can be printed out or exported to another application. The Small Hotel accounting application can be installed using the HiPath 1100 V7 system CD.

2.8.2.2 Checkin/Checkout Process In a small hotel, a guest requests the check in: The hotel receptionist chooses the menu option “Small Hotel”, enters the room number, and confirms “Check In“ The extension of this room is unlocked The telephone account of this extension is reset In the same hotel, a guest requests the check out: The hotel receptionist chooses the menu option “ Small Hotel”, enters the room number, and confirms “Check Out“ The extension of this room is locked The telephone account of this room is closed and sent to a printer (also available as csv-file for any billing SW) The hotel receptionist adds the telephone account value to the bill

2.8.2.3 Country Adaptation The Small Hotel PC application is currently available in English and Portuguese language. However using the ATT application, which is included in the system CD, the Small Hotel texts may be translated in any language and stored within the PC.

2.8.2.4 Detailed Description of the Small Hotel Solution There is a system flag in the Manager to set it as a Hotel System. If the system flag is set, the first system phone will be assumed to be the reception phone. This phone will get the option “Checkin/Checkout?” in the menu. By setting the flag, all phones in the switch will be set as Checked out, and as a consequence the electronic lock will be active. The admin/attendant extention will not be checked out/checked in, and so it will not be locked by this feature. All Checked out Phones are able to perform internal calls.

The existing HiPath 1000 Accounting tool has been adapted to a smaller feature set which fits to the hotel receptionist needs. Depending on the configuration of the system flag, the application runs in this new mode. The Acounting tool in Hotel services mode offers a menu option to show the whole list of extensions and a summary of the telephone bill status for each of the extensions.

The information presented in this window will be updated as the tickets are received from the switch. The user will be able to print and/or to export the data contained in this window. Another menu option is implemented to allow the view of a complete summary of the telephony bills of the hotel. The window will show the bills for all extensions in sequence. The user will be able to print and/or to export the data contained in this window. No license control is required. It will not be possible to run the Accounting tool in normal mode and Hotel Services mode simultaneously, since they are the same application and it is not possible to run it twice in a PC. Also the CDR tool can not be used together with the hotel application. A PC with the running Hotel application must be connected to the HiPath 1000 system so that the telephone bill is automatically printed or exported.

2.8.3 Accounting Manager The Accounting Manager is an application for retrieving and processing call charge data generated by the communication system. Features: Retrieve call data records from the communication system Call data record can be generated and well-arranged shown in the Managers screen The user can define filter criteria for call data records to see just specific records, for e.g. a particular extension number Account codes can be allocated, you can assign a name to them Show call costs on a graphical way Export call data records in a CSV database

To install it, access the setup file in the CD path: “\extras\Accounting tool\setup.exe”. See application help file for information on how to configure it for advanced bill charging.

2.8.4 Software Update Assistant This tool makes it very easy to update software (update software either locally or remotely by means of an external service center). Software can also be updated remotely from an external server.

The standard internal music-on-hold (Siemens music) can also be loaded by means of the software update.

2.8.5 MoH Transfer This PC software is used to select, modify and upload files for internal music-on-hold. A preset melody is available in the HiPath 1100 system for the music-on-hold feature (MoH). Using this tool, a polyphonic music-on-hold in PCM format may be transferred. Note: When transferring MIDI files for music-on-hold, you must comply with the copyright laws of the Performing Rights Society (GEMA)!

2.8.6 TAPI driver TAPI drivers are a prerequisite for operating additional CTI software available on the market, for example for associated dialing on the PC. The HiPath 1100 TAPI driver supplied can be networked for client/server operation and allows you to connect up to the USB connection on the HiPath 1100 or on an optiPoint 500 telephone.

2.8.7 Customized System Languages In addition to the languages already available in HiPath 1100 one further language can be added for the display texts of the optiPoint 500 or OpenStage phones and for all PC tools. This language is arbitrary, and therefore unusual languages or dialects may be created, provided that they can be displayed with the standard character set. Two PC programs are available for translation: TTT for the display texts ATT for the PC tools (Manager, Software Update, Accounting, CommServer, MoH, Small Hotel). These programs are found on the Service CD. They offer a convenient user interface for the translation of all texts menus and dialogs, based on an English original. From these translated tables a new System CD can be created on which a new customer-specific language extends the original selection of languages. The file with the translated display texts is also copied onto this CD and can later be downloaded onto the HiPath 1100 using the TTT program1. Details about the paths for the translated files can be found on the system CD in the "Readme_ATT" and "Readme_TTT" files. The HiPath 1100 systems cannot be delivered from the factory with a new language. However, a sales partner or a local SEN company may create the new system CD and provide it to all their resellers or customers. In this case, the new CD should be used instead of the original system CD. After the PC tools are installed, the new language will immediately be available for selection. To activate the customer-specific display texts on the optiPoint telephones at the customer, the customer downloads the translated text file from the new CD using the TTT program when setting up the HiPath 1100. This is also possible via remote administration.

2.8.8 PC Requirements for the CD software package Operating Systems supported: Windows 2000 SP4, Windows XP SP2, Windows 2003 Server SP1, Windows Vista SP1, Windows / PC Hardware requirements: Pentium processor, at least 266 MHz (preferably higher) 64 MB memory, at least 100 MB hard disk space CD-ROM or DVD drive

1 To help with the creation of a new System CD, the TTT program is already contained on the original System CD.

4.1 Export Regulations

Certain products in our sales program are subject to the regulations governing export permits required under EU/German/US law [in accordance with the Export List (in German "AL") and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)]. At the time an offer is submitted or an order is confirmed, it cannot reliably be assumed that export/re-export licenses to be applied for will always be granted, that existing export/re-export licenses can be extended to include delivery dates that can arise from schedules or unexpected delays. Your offers, order acknowledgments and contracts with your customers which are known to involve, or can be assumed to involve, deliveries intended for export/re-export – in other words indirect exports and transactions with distributors – should therefore include the following proviso: "This offer (this contract/this order acknowledgment) and the fulfillment of the contract are subject to the proviso that the requisite export licenses are issued and that this is not prevented by other impediments arising due to German or other export regulations."
