Why SAP ERP in Hindi?

To encourage the use of Hindi as an additional language for

business and Employee centric transactions.

As per The Official Languages (Use for official Purposes of the Union) Rules, 1976(As amended, 987):Communication

between different Central Govt. office shall be in Hindi in

addition to English.

Option provided to user to select the language

during login to System.

Based on language selected text, on the screen

will appear e.g. in case user selects Hindi

language, screens will appear with Hindi Text or in

case user selects English language, screens will

appear with English Text.

Technical details and Prerequisites

1. Activate the specific international address versions.

To do this, proceed as follows:

1. In the SAP Reference Implementation Guide, choose SAP Web Application Server

Basis Services Address Management Activate International Address Versions. The Change View International Address Versions screen is displayed.

2. In Change mode, select the required address versions in the table and set the Active

indicator for each.

3. Save.
