SPRING FESTIVAL, OPEN HOUSE AND EGG HUNT Saturday, March 28, 2015 10:30 am to Noon. We will have numerous vendors and refreshments out front. Parking will be at Indian Springs Elementary. A continuous shuttle will run between Indian Springs Elementary and the center. The EGG HUNT will be in the back yard. ROOM 3 MS. MICHELE, LEAD TEACHER
March will be a fun filled month enriched with lots of learning and
discovery. We will be learning all about our senses. At this age
children learn the most by touching, tasting, hearing, smelling and
listening.
Our color this month is green. The shape is a clover. The baby sign
is “hot”. The song is “Baby Bumble Bee. The rhyme is “Clap, clap,
Clap Your Hands”.
Some of our students have been practicing walking. We are all using
our gross motor skills and expanding our vocabulary. We are
learning many new words.
We want to give a great big warm welcome to all our new students in
Room 3!

ROOM 7 MS. TERI, LEAD TEACHER Greeting Room 7 Families!
We ended February with a Scholastic Book Fair. The beginning of
March with a celebration of Dr. Seuss’s birthday. THANK YOU for
your support and participation.
March is going to be a very busy month. Spring Break is right
around the corner. Please bring a coat for your child every day,
our Texas weather is constantly changing and is unpredictable.
The theme for March is FOOD AND NUTRITION; Nature and Science
focus will be FARM ANIMALS; our Character Value for the month is
HUMOR: The letters we will be introducing are: K, Q, and V.
During Circle Time activities and reviewing the letters that we
learned in September and November: A, B, C, E, F, G, H, I, J, L, M,
O, P, R, S and T. We are learning to write and identify our numbers 1
through 10 and continue to practice writing our names and
practice precision scissor cutting skills.
Please notice that Daily Communication sheets are now in your
Child’s folder at the end of the day. PLEASE CHECK YOUR CHILD”S
FOLDER EVERY DAY. We are collecting old magazines and toilet
paper/ paper towel cardboard rolls for art projects. If you have any
of these items, please send them in.
During cold, flu and allergy season we ask that on Fridays you take
home nap time blankets and pillows for washing. We continue to
encourage students to cover their mouths when sneezing and
coughing and to wash hands often.

goal to make learning a fun experience for your child.

We will learn about different farm animals and the different ways they contribute to the farm. We will also learn about the food pyramid and how to make healthy food choices. We continue to work on our sight words and word families. We are excited to welcome Ms. Jennifer to our class. She will be helping out on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
