We are experienc- ing another great year at Triple C School. We are now in our second quarter with students more settled and our environment is much more conducive to learning as the summer is behind us and the holidays of the American Thanksgiving and Christmas are on the horizon. The island’s Cayman Thanksgiving was initiated by one of Triple C’s current students, Kacey Rose. Let us, espe- cially in this season of thanksgiving, remember to give thanks to our God in spite of our situations and circum- stances for truly He has done great things in our midst evidencing that His mercy endures to all generations. Consider this passage of scripture for your spiritual en- richment. Psalm 100 (NKJV) Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands! Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations. Message from the Elementary Vice-Principal

Mrs. Jennifer Allen

It’s that time of year again where we give thanks and praise to God for His many bless-ings: a loving family, thoughtful friends, dedi-cated teachers, and shining students. I am happy to report that we have been tremendously blessed with our new teacher additions to the Triple C School fami-ly. We have also been blessed with many new students this year. Message from the Secondary Vice-Principal

Mr. Bob Lankford

Uncomfortable with your situation? Having a tough go? Here’s what to do: Give thanks to the Lord!

Paul tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 to “… give thanks in all things…” You will see an immediate change – not nec-essarily in your situation, but in your attitude. God doesn’t always take us out of a bad situation; He will, however, jump right into it with us and guide us through it.

Mrs. Kacey Glidden Pre-School Teacher

Mrs. Glidden, from the U.S., has been teaching for 15 years, seven of which

have been at Triple C School. While in the U.S., Mrs. Glidden taught Pre-School

and Kindergarten. During her time at Triple C she has served as a Teacher's Aide, Special Education Needs (SEN)

Assistant and Elementary Art Assistant. This is her second year as a Pre-School

teacher at Triple C.

Mrs. Antoinette Cowan Pre-Kindergarten Teacher &

Early Childhood Education Supervisor Mrs. Cowan holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and is presently studying for her Master’s in Education Administration from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica. She has worked in education for over 16 years as a teacher, Cultural Agent and Educa-tion Officer. This is Mrs. Cowan’s sixth year at Triple C School.

The Early Childhood Department continues to advance the children not only in academics but also in their emo-tional, social, and physical development. Each class puts forth innovative and creative ideas in an effort to aid in the holistic development of each child.

Pre-School: It is an exciting time in a child's life and a year full of firsts. It is our first year in Triple C and for some it is our first year in school. We are young but learning is an adventure for us. God created us all special and we are learning how special He is and how special we are. We are learning our letters and letter sounds, numbers, colors and shapes. We are tracing our letters and numbers so we can begin writing.

We are also learning about our world. We get to take field trips just like the big kids. We are planning on visiting places like the fire station, library, bakery, and the Pines. These trips will help us to see God’s wonderful creation in this wonderful place we call home.

Pre-Kindergarten Upcoming Events November: We are learning about Cayman’s Heritage. January: We be studying Our Community/Where Do I Live. Pre- Kindergarten will visit Ms. Lassie’s House. Pre- Kindergarten will focus on the Five Districts.

Other Pre-Kindergarten Activities:

Career Day • Each child will dress up in uniform, with tools depending on their choice of career. The students will share about

their job choice. Week of the Young Child • There will be a fun day for the students as well as an Arts & Craft Display of their work.

Once again, the Band & Choir students performed at the annual Church of God Fall Praise Gathering on Tues-day, September 30th, and we recently did our Fall Pops concert on Thursday, October 23rd. At both events the students displayed that they are already hard at work learning the new mu-sic.

Our annual Christmas concerts are quickly approaching and we are excited for the Pre-School through Grade 12 Christmas Concerts, starting on Thursday, December 4th. This year we have over 20 children participating in the First Assembly of God “Singing Christmas Tree” taking place on November 29th & 30th. We also have many other students singing in the Church of God Chapel Children’s Choir. Trinity exams will be done in December and we have 11 students sitting the exams. After the new year, we will be working towards our annual U.S. trip which will be in Tampa where we will attend two contests at two schools. The choir and band will also be preparing for the NCFA (National Children’s Festival of the Arts), the Church of God Spring Convention and our annual spring concert.
