Complete Dispersal of Farm Machinery (having sold the Dairy herd)
SALE REPORT On behalf of Messrs J&S Davey & Partners
~ With wonderful sunny weather all day, the huge number of buyers in attendance adhered to the Covid-19 regulations to ensure everyone was kept safe – Thank you for your co-operation ~
The sale kicked off with 200 new tools and goods on behalf of Messrs Rural Excess of Chepstow which topped at £130 with others at £120 and the best of the spanner sets between £45-£55.
The dispersal sale for the Davey family included over 500 lots of goods which included everything from a bath to a 2019 Tractor! The decision to disperse this machinery followed the sale of the dairy herd earlier in the year. Overall top call of the day was a massive £44,250 given for the 2018 Massey Ferguson 5712 tractor c/w loader going off to its new home neat Tiverton. The 2019 Massey Ferguson 5711 also sold well hitting a very respectable £30,000 and going off on Exmoor. The two older Massey Fergusons (yard scrape tractors) hit £2,200 for the MF342 and £1,500 for the MF35 going away to Dartmoor.
Amongst the farm machinery the Boreco cow cubicle bedder went home with loyal Kivells supporters Trevor & Janet Adams of Torrington at £5,000, the Amazone fertilizer spinner hit £3,350 going off to North Cornwall and the Krone tedder also reaching £3,300. The dung spreader (as seen) hit £2,000 and went off to Wiltshire with the pick of the livestock equipment reaching £1,200 for the Bateman cattle crush which went up to Ilfracombe.
A good line up of ‘outside lots’ topped at £2,600 for the low loading trailer in from Owen Bray of Horns Cross going off to Winkleigh, with the cultivator in from Graham Pluess of Poundstock selling well at £920.
Kivells would like to thank John Davey and family for their hard work in preparing for the sale and wish them all the very best for their future plans.
